Okay, so it might sound weird, however we have taken apart 53XX handsets to turn them in to supervising handsets (via Rj10 splitters) so that a supervisor can listen in and guide a student/colleague.

I've been tasked to check if its possible with the 69XX handsets as well, and at the moment I'm leaning towards a hard NO.

I've found 3 points around the speaker which hold together the phone-body, however there is no give when pushing down on those points.
All it has done so far is damage the phone (luckily this one wasn't working already).

Has anyone on here managed to take apart a 69XX handset entirely? (and subsequently disabled the microphone from working)

"When the customer deletes users from their Active Directory should it be deleted from the MiCollab Client Service Configuration?"

This is a discussion we had in house several times but never got answered.
New users are imported / created by the "AD / LDAP Synchronizer" (Found under the MiCollab Client Services Configuration) however it doesn't remove them when deleted from the AD and syncing the system.
We've confirmed that they don't just disable the accounts (which the LDAP doesn't look at I believe(the accounts that are disabled)) and actually delete them from the AD.
Is it at all possible for the LDAP Sync to delete the old users?

They problem they are running into is that new users don't get imported / created by the sync, at which point they call us and we find out it still exists as a user.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Problem with a 5224 Dual Mode IP Phone
« on: February 20, 2017, 03:41:29 AM »
Hello!

So lets jump straight into it.
A client of ours has problems with registering a 5224 Dual Mode IP Phone to their Mitel 3300.
The phone refuses to register in one of the two ways listed below:
 - Pin + Superkey, in this case ***1234(not actual number) and use the super key to send.
 - Adding the MAC address to the extension in the 3300.

Both result in the same problem, returning to the screen 'input pin and use SUPERKEY to send'.
Before shipping the phone to the customer we tested it without problem(teleworker), the phone registered and we were able to call.
But after they received it there, hooked it on(PoE), it just refuses to register to the Mitel 3300.

I myself am a mitel engineer in training where as my colleagues are already trained.
Im completely stunned as to what can be the cause of this.
My colleagues also checked my 'handy work' and confirm everything should work as it should.

And before anyone brings it up the device type is also set to 5224, with service level full.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S.
First post hoping I posted this in the right section.
