I am not aware of a way to change the ringtone using the ESM, this is only available on the phone itself using the superkey.

the locate command will give you information on where to start looking, however if this si setup as a multiline key appearance on multiple phones, then its rather simple to duplicate for your new requirement. navigate to maintenance commands and enter locate extension, depending on your release of software autocomplete will help with command alternatively the help is quite extensive when clicking on it in the active form.

The TMS(telephone Management system or otehrwise referred to as a call logger. the Mitel outputs SMDR and the TMS reports on numbers dialed from or calls received on a specific DN.

Hi,

as you said, the transfer mailbox would be a good place to start, if 1 is not pointing to 3005 it will not go there. also check that there is no features like cfwd activated on 3005 pointing to 3003. this can also start causing problems when they list more than ten users as the system will wait for a second or two when 1 is dialed as it might be expecting an extra digit like 0 for 10 or 1 for 11 etc. Its best to use the directory listing or allow transfer to any number and have the caller dial the extension number rather than single digit.

Regards

That will work, plus you can name the ring group so people can distinguish between calls.

1024x768 helps, the application is still too big but atleast with your startbar on autohide you can click the buttons.

I'm afraid the only way we going to get this right is by checking TMS stats, I have tried a couple of things to no avail. sorry

I agree with Bluewhite, best to configure this through group admin and simply get the user to press the button.

Have a look at the technician codes, however there isn't one available to remove the "you are being transferred to" but you can certainly adjust some of the auto prompts.

The technicians handbook as well as the release notes explain this very well. If you do not have SDS forms you will have to enable System Data Synchronization in system options form before the forms will show.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: password recovering
« on: November 29, 2010, 02:07:39 AM »
Update: I have since explained this to Mitel with no real feedback apart from, "you'll have to configure it from scratch",huh? they can't be serious!

I have done a manual upgrade, was able to log into the ESM with the default credentials, but unable to retrieve licenses as the controller does not have internet access, so I reverted to using Software installer to download the licenses and perform the restore, this worked but SI gave me an error saying that I should check that the user had sufficient privileges, obviously this was due to the default credentials not matching those in the backup. Once the restore was complete, I was still unable to access the system either via the original password or the default. The only thing I can think happened here was that SI was unable to complete the whole process, setting user restrictions so forth hence the lockout.

My next course of action I will try is to do a manual install, retrieve licenses via SI and perform the restore via ESM. I will keep you posted but would appreciate if anyone has a idea on how to reset the password without having to perform the manual install.

Thanks
