We have two MAS servers in our org. A virtual one for the UCA server. And a physical one for the AWC. I was looking around the Mitel site recently and discovered this page:
http://www.mitel.com/wps/portal/public/home/products/conferencing-and-collaboration/audio-web-conferencing
Mitel is declaring their AWC VMWare Ready (which it was not when we upgraded back in November). Does this mean I can consolodate my AWC into my already existing VMWare MAS?
Thanks for any feedback.

Just sat through a demo of the AWC, now called MCA.
Yes, it's all virtualized.
The next version is due out 1st week of March. If was scheduled for earlier this month but was pushed back.

I was going to consolidate mine on the VMWARE as well however, keep in mind that when you purchase your teleworker it comes with 5 licenses ( at least mine did ) and if you go virtual you will lose these 5 licenses. I had 5 ( original ) plus 15 extras i bought so i decided to keep all in the same old phisical mbg so not to lose the 5 built in ones.
But i ran a really small shop, might not be your case :D

Thanks for pointing that out. We don't have any teleworker licenses, although I was specific with Mitel that I wanted to be able to use our UCA Softphones outside of the office. They didn't seem to feel that we needed a teleworker setup to achieve that...but at the same time, they haven't figured out how to use UCA Softphone outside of the office without teleworker...unless you use a VPN - but then the quality isn't very good with a UCA Softphone / VPN combo IMHO.

Been thinking about the same thing, however i do not have uca phones but i have sip licenses/devices i could use. I feel there are some approaches to it as in using mbg as a proxy to/from outside world or if you have a firewall in the perimeter you could use a static map address to point to your system ... i do love the mitel solution but their licensing is a bit fuzzy,

Sometimes. That and product name keep changing.
It's all about the market and what competitors are doing.

This is a very very new product, so I think I'll hold on to my physical unit for now. It was just installed a couple of months ago. Also, there could very well be a difference between whether it's ready for use for a 3300 vs. a 5000.
The good thing is that I keep on learning more and more about my phone system and I'm trying to leverage every part of it to make it better for my end-users.

I thought AWC was VM-Ready long before this. It was available via VM-MAS back in August even.....

I think you're correct. I just haven't installed one.
