Doesn't seem to matter where they come from.  It can be a local call coming down ATT lines or it can be an inside call coming down our T1.  this is the same clinic where I have what appears to be collisions, but they are happening from an interal call connecting to an external call.

Here is what happened to me the other day;  I dialed 4001 (Receptionist) and was connected with a lady calling into the clinic on an ATT Plexar Number.  No ring tones were heard by either of us, but suddely we could both hear background noise and knew we were connected to something.

Since my call was being made internally and hers was external I can't see how it could be an ATT issue.  By the way ATT has checked the connections a claims all is well with their circuits.

totally baffeld at this point.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Transfer goes to Dial Tone
« on: November 13, 2008, 07:47:18 AM »
I have a remote clinic with a 3300 and all IP phones.  We have been having a lot of strange things happening there.  Now it seems that when a call is transfered they get disconnected.  Receptionist answers call and presses  Trans/Conf, dials extention, hears first ring, either presses T/C, release key, or hangs up, and the call is disconnected.

I am sure something is set wrong somewhere, but WHAT?

Thanks

I was sold Call Aware with our system.  The problem with it is it will only read one 3300 at a time so real time data from the entire phone system does not happen for me.  It also requires it's own server, does not like other apps running.

I just don't even use it any  more.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Cross Talk - Cross Connect_ Not Sure
« on: October 24, 2008, 08:17:31 AM »
We have three 3300's  Two at Remote Clinics.  What is happenig is that on occasion when someone from our main hospital dials ext 4001 it will ring a few times and suddenly they may be connected to anothers cell phone or the residences of a patient who happens to be trying to call the clinic at the same time.

Our provider feels this is an AT&T problem, At&T of course says the opposite.  Provider has replaced the cable from AT&T box to the 3300 so we are fairly certian that we have good copper.  AT&T has checked all of their Copper from the CO to the D-Mark abd says it is good.

I throw this out to all for help, Any Ideas guys??

thanks
Mike

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Licenses
« on: August 28, 2008, 07:12:23 AM »
We have three Mitel 3300 controllers.  Two of them have more IP licenses than they will ever use.  Has anyone ever transfered licenses from one controller to another?  Just trying to save the company a few Bucks.  thanks

I work for a hospital in Central Texas and we have three 3300's.  One is at our main campus and two at remote clinics.  They all talk together just fine.
If going with the 3300, be sure you don't go cheap on your switches.  We started wtih HP swithces and Sprint Power injectors.  This only adds another layer of patch cables and limits the ports one can connect an IP phone to.  I our new hospital I am installing all HP 2650 POE switches.  All terminations throught the new facility are 568B standard so I can connect IP, Digital, or Analog phones with little problem.

The management of phones is pretty straight forward, I have had next to no training and am able to take care of our system pretty well.

My CFO Likes new techy things.

good Luck

3300 Ver is 7.0
This particular phone is not sharing data. 5207's do not have switching capabilities.
All of our phones are on VLAN's and I have no problem with any of the rest, that I know of.
I find nothing in any of the logs with heartbeat in it.

I am trying to keep from running a new cat5 cable to the phone, but may have too.

thanks for the reply.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / IP Phone reboots
« on: June 03, 2008, 05:23:30 PM »
I have one 5207 IP Phone that re boots at will.

This hapens to be the Chief of Staffs phone and he says it always happens when talking to a patient.

I have changed phones twice, patch cords 5-6 times, ports in the switch (HP2650), even moved him to another switch, and changed out the RJ45 wall connection.

Any Ideas ?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / New Release
« on: June 02, 2008, 01:57:51 PM »
Our system is on Release 7.0.  Does Mitel notify users of new releases or must we rely on our vendor?
How difficult is it for the end user to install a new release?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Call Park
« on: May 14, 2008, 03:41:38 PM »
We have had the Mitell 3300 for about three years.  It seems that there are features in it that we were never educated on .  When we call the installer it is like an experiment to figure out how to use it.

I am under the impression that "Call Park," should allow the receiver to "Park" a call and then make an announcment over the PA system as such "Dr. DoGood you have a called parked on 1234."

Does anyone know if my thought process is correct, and how this is set up???
