We haven't had any luck with the Telco.  We're on hold for extended periods, and when we finally reached someone, they just took our numbers and said they'll get back to us.  We'll, it's been 2 days and no return calls.

Just re-order tone.

ARS is correct.  CCS trace confirms that it's going out of the E1 but I do not receive the "NAM" message from the Telco.

Hi everyone.  I seem to get the strangest problems...

So, we replaced the Nortel Option 11 with a MiVoice Business in Germany.  The system has a standard Euro ISDN link.  However, we now can't call certain cell phone numbers from Vodafone's mobile codes 0174 and 0162.  It was working before the switch over.

Other mobile codes work like T-mobile codes 0171, and Eplus 0177.

Any ideas?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: German ISDN Configuration

Thanks.  There's no setup for Germany in the ISDN configuration.

However.... When I changed the country to Germany, the pop up window showed it will erase all data.  So I made a backup, change the country, then reset the system.

The login page came up in German, but the rest of the forms were in English.  As expected, there was no data.  BUT, all of the installed modules on the MCD showed blank as well!

So I did another reboot.  While the system was rebooting, I was keeping an eye on the boot process.  It somehow got stuck at "tRoottask" and wouldn't boot fully.  The hard drive crashed.

So I tried the same step on a BLANK hard drive this time on the same system.  I change the country first, rebooted, then the system came up fine with all the modules.

As Mitel suggested, country setting MUST be done before any programming.

Found it!!

Didn't realize it will delete all programming! We'll try it tonight.

On the Option 11 - country is set to Germany.

I don't see a country setting on the MCD.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / German ISDN Configuration
« on: September 07, 2017, 12:35:13 PM »
Hi Everyone,

The current E1 ISDN at our Germany location is currently connected to a Nortel Option 11.  The circuit is absolutely clean.  However, when I connect it to the Mitel MiVoice Business, the circuit slows a lot of framing losses and bit errors.

The MiVoice Business is configured with standard Euro ISDN.  The digital link descriptor is set to ISDN NODE.

I know it's a protocol mismatch.  And since we are changing the equipment, the Telco will definitely say it is our problem.

Does anyone know ISDN configuration in Germany? Thanks.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MiVoice E2T history output

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone explain the number of "Calls" from the "e2thistory" output? Are these simply all calls that used the E2T resource for both Ethernet to TDM, and TDM to Ethernet?

Here's an example:

-> e2thistory
e2thistory
           E2T per Hour Call History

                                         Calls    Calls

Got this sorted out.  The system version is the following:

MiCollab 6.0.205.0
Mitel Standard Linux 10.1.39

When creating a new network element on the MSL, there's a check mark that says "Use Nupoint UM IP Integration License".

With the check mark on this option, the network element shows up under Nupoint network elements.

Once the network element is created and you try to edit it, the option says "Release Nupoint UM IP Integration License".

25
Attached is what's displayed in Nupoint.

Hi Everyone,

I can add the resilient MCD under the MAS network elements, but it doesn't show up under the Network Elements form under Nupoint.

doha-r does not have Nupoint UM checkmark.  This MCD has the registration/replacement code.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

27
I got this figured out.

The 2nd route which goes to the E1 had expensive route tone enabled.  I'm guessing the Nupoint hears this as a disconnect.

My route list worked as soon as I set the expensive route tone to "No".

28
Which timer kicks in on the route list? Where do we tell the system to wait a specific time before it tries the 2nd route, then wait for a specific time, then try the 3rd route?

29
From a call flow.  On it it says, to reach emergency services, press 1.  1 is a blind transfer to the speed call.

Hi Everyone!

I have a speed call created with an actual number that dials over XNET trunking.  In ARS, this speed call is entered that goes to Route List.  The 1st route goes to XNET trunking, 2nd route goes to ISDN trunks.

For example,
Speed call: 560-5000 - Actual number:89055000 --> This goes to XNET trunking

In ARS:
89055000 goes to route list 20
Route List 20 - 1st route = 10 --> goes to XNET
                    - 2nd route = 20 --> goes to E1
Route 20 goes to DMI that removes all the numbers and inserts a commercial number.

If I busy the XNET trunk and call the speed call from my desk phone, the call gets routed to the E1.

However, If I dial the speed call from Nupoint while XNET trunk is busy, I get the message "I'm sorry, extension 5605000 is not available.

I can call the speed call from Nupoint if it goes to just one route - either XNET, or E1, but not a route list.

Any idea what I'm missing?
