Mitel Software Applications / Re: Converting .LREC file
« on: July 06, 2015, 11:02:00 PM »
Thank you for the reply.  I did see that, but never seems to do anything for me.  Maybe I am missing something?  It just goes to the meeting center tab and shows the share, video and exit, but nothing happens?

Any advice?

Mitel Software Applications / Converting .LREC file

I have a recording of a MiCollab meeting.  The recordings are recording so you can see the desktop sharing, video and Audio.  When you open that file, it opens in the MiCollab client which is fine and works well.  However, I want to know how I can convert that to play on any media player.  OR be able to import into a video editing software so I can cut some parts out and then save into a format that  can be played on any media player?

MiCollab client has been working fine, once I installed Cisco AnyConnect 3.1 it quit working.  It logs me in, but presence never fires up and then eventually connection lost comes up.

Now at first I was troubleshooting this by checking my account, uninstalling the client, reinstalling, to no avail.  I tried logging in on another computer and it was fine.  So I knew it wasn't my account but had to be my computer.  Baffled I decided to do a restore point back to the morning before when I knew it was working.  Did that and walla the client started working just fine.

Then is when I realized, duh I just got rid of my anyconnect client.  So I installed that back on and tested it, anyconnect works fine.  Then I noticed, boom my MiCollab client is broke again.  So I know it has to do with installing anyconnect 3.1.

Any suggestions on what and why and how to resolve this.  I really need my anyconnect client installed.

Thank you,

Jeff

This plantronics headset has a quick disconnect end on it, I grabbed a quick disconnect cable I had from Previous external plantronics vista headset box I had.  Used that headset cable without the box.  Just the quick disconnect cable plugged into the headset jack of the IP phone, then the other end the quick disconnect end plugs directly into headset cord.

Headset button lit, I hit the prime number, and I don't hear anything.  If I hit the headset button again, then the dial tone comes out of the speaker.

under keys, for headset, all I programmed was line type = Headset.  I didn't change anything else.  Could I be missing something?

Thanks for your reply.

I purchased a couple headsets to use with the 5312 phones.  I purchased plantronics HW251.  Believe that was an approved one..

On the phone I created the headset button and the release button.  When I pick up the handset to take phone off hook and hit the headset button, nothing on handset and nothing on headset.

Cannot seem to get to work and I am not sure what I am missing?

Thanks,

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Access Denied when dialing 911
« on: May 04, 2015, 03:44:33 PM »
I have some phones that are able to dial 911, as well as 8911 successfully.  However I have some other phones that when you dial it, "access denied" displays on the screen.  Now I looked and reviewed the phone accounts and they all look identical and good, so I am really confused on why?

Any Suggestions?

Thank you,

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: T38 Channels and faxing
« on: April 10, 2015, 10:35:47 AM »
everything is licensed properly and for most part configured good.  It just fails while faxing a machine that is setup for both fax/telephone.   See if you call it and listen to it via a regular phone, when it picks up instead of the standard fax tone, you get a funky ring back first, then after quite a few seconds you will get the fax tone.  This is where I think the issue is.

So now on the 3300 controller T38 logging is now enabled and what I see in the log after sending the fax is as follows.

Log Type      Maintenance
Log Number      936
Severity      Info
Date      2015/Apr/10
Time      09:29:20
Source      FAX SP
Description      T.38 No: 26570, Pages: 0, Type: Send, Speed: V.Unknown bps, Duration: 0:29 Result: Error (0x0)
Module      Main
File Name and Line Number      Maintenance;0

I believe it is the Unknown bps, thus hanging up, terminating the call.  Successful faxes show a bps rate of 14400.  Here is a shot of a successful one.

Log Type      Maintenance
Log Number      935
Severity      Info
Date      2015/Apr/10
Time      09:26:53
Source      FAX SP
Description      T.38 No: 26566, Pages: 3, Type: Receive, Speed: V.17 14400 bps, Duration: 1:00 Result: Success (0xC800)
Module      Main
File Name and Line Number      Maintenance;0

So there almost has to be some setting on the controller for me to change to work with this.  It is not our rightfax software as we proved that the software can fax to those machines from other companies using rightfax, just not through a mitel controller.

Thanks again for any information.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / T38 Channels and faxing
« on: April 08, 2015, 02:30:31 PM »
Hello,

I am a user of Rightfax electronic faxing.  We use FOIP utilizing the T38 channels on our controller.  I problem we are experiencing is when our rightfax software dials a fax machine that is setup for Fax/Telephone, we cannot fax them, it gives out that funky ring back for a few seconds before any fax tones start.

I always thought it had something to do with our rightfax software, however after working hard with rightfax support, we tested and officially determined using tools such as wireshark and what not that our 3300 controller is actually terminating the call.

So now I have to determine where in my controller settings do I need to make changes so it doesn't terminate the call.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Got it.  Class of service for those voicemail ports had to be changed.

Thanks, all working now.

the Hunt group is set as a RAD hunt group and the voicemail ports are associated, as if i call the voicemail port numbers I hear the greeting.

Call rerouting, yes, 6390 currently is a ring group.  ah ha, let me remove that and see if that shows up then.

Here is my update, I am 98% of the way I think, only 2 issues remain for me to have this operational.

A: Hunt group pilot number doesn't ring the voicemail ports.  So I created two hunt groups.  First one is pilot number 9073 and should ring ports 9055,9056,9057.  Second is 9074 which rings ports 9058,9059,9060.  If I call either hunt group pilot number I just get dial tone.  Though if I dial any one of those voicemail ports I get the greeting associated with it?  Strange as the hunt groups setup for our secretaries works fine, dial the pilot number get the associated greeting?

B: I have to set our help desk ext 6390 in call rerouting to go to the ACD.  However 6390 doesn't show up in call rerouting?

Thanks,

Jeff

Okay, an update, and I think I am 98% of the way there.

A: determine extensions to log in
B: created 2 extensions
    1: for Path ACD = 9020
    2: agent group  = 9021
C: Created Agent ID's for the extensions
D: Create an agent skill groups and added tech extensions
E: Built an ACD path #9020
F:created the hunt groups
   1: 9073 added vmail ports 9055 & 9056
   2: 9074 added vmail ports 9057 & 9058
G: Modified the ACD path 9020
   1: set recording DN 1 to 9073
   2: set recording DN 2 to 9074
H: Made note that when ready to implement I need to change call rerouting to send to ACD
I: Created a Key template to apply to phones
J: Logged onto embedded vmail, logged in as 9999 and used administrator password
   1: hit #8
2: recording the initial busy greeting as #12
3: recorded the still busy greeting as # 13

Now here is where I am stuck, how do I associate 9073 to recording #12 and 9074 to recording 13?

After this I think I am ready to test correct?

Thanks,

Looking to create new groups.  5 more groups actually.

I am digging around and working on it today, so I can probably reply with where exactly I am getting hung up, well after I have exhausted the help files.
