We now have a Micollab server that is virtualized ontop of Microsoft Hyper-V.
Has the Micollab, and even older UCA been avail. to be virtualized ontop of Hyper-V? I have people telling me that it has to be a VMware instance, or at least it had to be in the past with UCA.
Can anyone confirm or deny if its always been avail for use with Hyper-V?
Thanks

Yes Hyper-V is supported, makes for a harder install though

Thanks. Silly question...but for how long?
I'm going back to 2013 to see if it were technically possible to have installed a virtualized MAS back then on hyper-v specifically.
Would anyone have spec or data sheets from 2013 saying if it was or was not possible back then?
I've got an install that is not virtualized, and I'm wondering if it was an option back in 2013. It has to do with licensing, that's why I'm asking these weird questions ;-)

Anyone? I know this is an odd request...but I'm not sure where else to find this information out? I'm looking specifically for 2013 UCA if it was compatible with Hyper-V.
Would anyone have an archive or old data sheet...or even better contact with Mitel that they could find out? Because I'm just a customer I don't think mitel will even talk to me and I'm not my dealer will provide accurate information.
Thanks!

I don't think 2013 would have been supported

It was introduced in MiCollab Client 6.0 SP3 which came out in August 2014

I can tell you we have installed older MSL servers (like UCA and MBG, never MiCollab) in HyperV... Installations that are VERY old (like MSL 6-8 based servers) without any virtualization license and they function without issue, although it was never supported, but upon upgrading they kinda freaked out and had to be reinstalled properly in the "correct" environment and with the correct license.
