I would be VERY intertested in hearing from anyone who has managed to connect Lync to the 3300's using live business gateway or other.  We are currently trialling Lync and it is excellent in its own right but phone integration would be great.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / UC Express 5212

Hi,

We have MCD4.1 and I am told that UC Express will work with the 5212 handsets.  I cannot find any info on this though or how to configure the sets.  The IT Guide only covers 53xx sets.

Any ideas?

Hi, I am curently trying out the RC of Lync server - looks great.  I would like to implement it with dual forking and RCC with our 3300s.  Does anyone know what extra Mitel software and licences is required for this?  Thanks

I would be interested in this, I am currently trying out Lync for all the other stuff but I don't want to use its built in PBX functions instead of MCD.

Fixed this, turn out some numbers were set as private in the 3300 directory.  These do display a name but not a number on normal phones, on SIP it shows nothing!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SIP extensions not showing caller ID
« on: October 18, 2010, 05:51:28 AM »
I have tried X-Lite and SIP Droid clients which work well with the 3300.  One thing they do not do is receive caller ID.  For example if I call the SIP extension from my desk phone the SIP phone just shows anonymous.  Is there an option somewhere which needs changing?

Thanks

Went with the hunt method which is working having created 8 lines as keys and added all those to the group.

Might try the other method though as it looks neater.  Thanks to you both.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Multicall Extension
« on: October 05, 2010, 11:06:06 AM »
Hi, I have setup a SIP user which connects the 3300 to a conference server.  So in essense the conference server connects to the 3300 as a SIP extension.  DIalling this sip extension connects to the caller to the conference system.  However this can only take one call at a time.  Is there a way to enable the line to handle multiple calls as the conference server is capable of this?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SIP Phones
« on: October 05, 2010, 06:04:16 AM »
Hi, I purchased a SIP User license to have a play with SIP.  Got it working with X-Lite and SIPDroid which was cool but I have the following questions I am hoping someone can answer...

1.  Is it possible to use the directory over SIP?  For example if I call my SIP extension from my desk phone the caller ID is not shown.
2.  Can a hot desk user connect on a SIP phone and be logged out of their deskphone in the same way they would be if they had logged onto a different desk phone?
3.  If I wanted to connect in over the internet do I need a product like Mitel Border Gateway or are there free alternatives?

Thanks for your help

Followoing up on this one did anyone have any UK suggestions?  We have been using a reseller who cocked up everything about our install and we are now looking for a new reseller to support the system and to add more controllers/consoles etc to it as we grow...

The reseller we used was a large one with a good list of clients but was still dreadful!

Just had a look in the Resiliency Policy, currently I have Hunt groups, pickup groups and page group as Not Resilient!  key assignment is also not reslient - could that have an affect on the multicall?

Is it safe for me to flick these options?

SDS in not enabled on any controller.

Thanks again, I am using all this to build up evidence against the vendor for the poor standard of the install which we are yet to pay for...

Me again!  We have 3 controllers and Enterprise and Ops Manager which I believe keeps them in sync.  One thing which doesn't appear to work though is call pickup groups which contain users which are on different controllers.  Only the users homed to the controller which the pickup group was setup on can use it.  We also seem to be unable to setup Multicalls where a number is presented on phones which are not on the same controller.

Our supplier completely messed up the install and we are waiting for them to return for a "health check" but I am trying to get some info from you guys too as I have lost faith in their knowledge!

Thanks

Sorry ignore that!  Set them both to private and job done!

Thanks again

Thanks Ralph,

Have tried this but on the phone which receives the call it shows...

MYEXTNUMBER IT SUPPORT ITSUPPORTNUMBER

So it is showing both the hotline number and my number.

Any ideas?

Cheers
