I work for a Reseller, we have been installing AX controllers for over 3 years now, and this week doing a maintenance visit to a site we found logs showing fan 4 stopped and started quite a few times, and occasionally so did other fans.  When I take a look at the status of the fans and temperatures (SHOW DEVICE RM INFO) everything looks happy and only fan 1 is running.  The room was fairly warm, is this a concern or is the fan just starting and stopping to help regulate temperature?

FYI Issue is Voicemail tennant playing MOH, need a third generic source for transfers out of the AA to play for a few seconds.

My trunks have the correct tenant, my extensions associated with the menu node have the correct tenant, my set associated with the 0 out mailbox have teh correct tenant, but when a call comes in to the AA and someone 0s out to operator, they get the hold music for the other tenant.  I suspect it is because my voicemail ports have a tenant using the alternate MOH source but if I change them the other side of the business will have the same problem.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I just thought of making the voicemail tenant have no MOH source, but I am not sure if that would help or not.  Using embedded MOH sources.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: ARS by calling Extension?
« on: February 03, 2015, 08:50:23 AM »
I'm not the one who set it up originally(we have mitel certified installers who do that) I am the guy who supports it after the fact.  But I think I can piece together something from your advice.  I forgot that I can set out going access on each trunk group and if I put both trunk groups into the facility groups for all of my ARS I can have every set call out from whichever trunk group I set it up for.  Thanks for the help everybody.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / ARS by calling Extension?
« on: February 02, 2015, 03:21:21 PM »
Has anyone ever set up the 5000 to do ARS(so that the 911 routing works properly) but so that it will pick a trunk group based on the dialing extension?  I know I can choose my outgoing extension but then as soon as you dial 9(yes we are renumbered for 9 outgoing) you get external dialtone and if you dial 11 (9-11) you fail at the CO.  This is the first time we have tried to set this up on a system where the two different floors of the building want to use different outgoing LS trunks.  If it were up to me I would have them use a PRI and then we just define the outgoing CLID per set and everyone can use every channel, Unfortunately that isn't how it was sold.  I was hoping to set up a COS that would direct callers in one restriction to one Facility group and another to the second, but it seems that as soon as you hit a match that is your facility group no matter what your COS is.  Any Help would be appreciated.

No guarantee that this is related to your issue, but we were having SIP calls drop after 15 to 20 minutes on a couple systems we administer.  Patched them to the newest (6.0.11.95) from Mitel Online and that was one of the fixes.  Not sure about the bandwidth etc. and we had no MBG, but if you aren't at current patch might be worth a try.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / ACD Queued call count?
« on: October 23, 2014, 06:23:03 PM »
I work for a reseller, and this is our first ACD set up on a 5000.  On the old system the supervisor has a button on her set that will show how many calls are waiting in the queue so she can micromanage who is in or out of the hunt group at any given time.  Is there any comparable feature on the 5000?  Running the newest patch off mitel online...6.0.11.95 I think.

I might run that one past the other guys here, though they have a button shortage on most of the sets so probably wouldn't want to sacrifice a button for a secondary extension.  Thanks

Pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I have a customer adamant about what they want.

Is it possible on a 5000(mivoice office) to have a phone play an audible reminder tone every 30 seconds or so.  The Parts counter leaves the desk and apparently sometimes forgets they have a call on hold(I don't understand)  they don't like the recall ringing back with a standard ring tone, other people in the office think it is a call and try to answer it.  they would prefer a simple beep ever so often.

If no one responds I will assume you have options of ringback or nothing.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Release trunks on external transfer
« on: February 21, 2014, 03:10:53 PM »
After some testing, on a standard LS trunk using a system speed dial F(feature code)(while in an active external call) gave external dialtone and allowed a call to be made, then a hookflash brought calls together to a 3 way conversation, however hanging up the Mitel set disconnected the other two callers, however on a Centrex Trunk straight hookflash allows the second call another hookflash brings the calls together and hanging up left the other two lines talking.  So in this instance a hookflash key or feature 330 is all that is necessary to make the transfer work as requested.

Yay!

I could always take up a system speeddial slot for the code and program a button for that speedial as well.  though I'm not against going into online monitor.  this customer is making a bunch of changes to their button programming and I am not planning on programming these buttons until we have some finalization of what they actually want.

It might not b e agood idea to trust the end user with a feature code, so I am thinking 2 buttons a speedial ookflash with feature code, manually enter number then a straight hookflash.

Thanks TE, checking on the CO feature.  Looks like I need to Hookflash, dial a feature, dial the number, then hookflash again then hang up.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Release trunks on external transfer

I have been told that most phone systems can do this, and supposedly the 5000 can, but can't get it to work.  I have Centrex LS trunks, and when you transfer someone to an external number it ties up 2 trunks, one for the call in, one for the transfer out.  Does the Mitel need to outpulse something to the CO in order for it to release the trunks and allow the two trunks to simple direct connect?  I have a Norstar expert who says there was a feature code for it in norstars.  I can't see it as a feature lost since then.

That is probably very true.  And since I work for a re-seller, when one of my coworkers does it and I get the call about it, I will know how to fix it.  which makes me look smart.  which is good.
