This question applies to techs that work directly for VARS and perhaps techs that are employed directly by and end user company.
Are you expected to update your certifications on your own time or does the company you work for allow you time to keep your certs current?

We can use some company time, but it is never enough and always personal time is spent preparing for the harder certifications. Honestly, the Mitel one's are easy to keep up to date - much harder in the Cisco and Microsoft land....

I agree the Mitel certs are easy to keep up with if you can find them in the library.

I've suggested to Mitel that they set up an email list that would notify us when new certs or cert updates have become available.
Part of the thing I'm frustrated with is that that I don't know when updates are released and it's very difficult to look up the courses on the website.
So the question becomes did I not search correctly for the update or isn't it out yet?
Email notification would help this.

Emails would be wonderful. I would even be satisfied with a way to have a notification in the courseware/registration site that would link to new updates based on what you had already passed.
