Title: Adding a 3rd phone to my MDUG for twinning?
Post by: VinceWhirlwind on August 08, 2016, 09:38:45 PM
So, I have 2 phones programmed in MiCollab, they are both in my MDUG and I can use either of them (or both) to receive calls.
I can configure statuses to use either of them to make calls.

So now I want to add a 3rd phone.
My extension is 1084. My mobile number in my ring group is 1*084. So I figure my other phone can be 10*84.
I've added it under "phones" in MiCollab, then clicked on the Group tab and added it to MDUG.
Great, I now have 3 phones in there, I assume all 3 will appear in my MiCOllab client ring group, and I can select the 3rd one to make calls, same as I can select either of the other two.
Except...not....it doesn't appear in my MiCollab client as a phone.
As it is in the group though, and "present", the controller rings it when I ring 1084, so that part of it is working, just nothing is appearing in MiCollab Client ... (I exited MiCollab client and restarted it of course).

Have I missed something in MiCollab?

You will need to add  it in the MiCollab server under your users & services.

Aha - I just needed to be patient - after about 30 minutes, it appeared in my MiCollab Client. Cool!

So I take it you must be using flow through (SDS sync)

good stuff.

I was trying to figure out how the MiCollab client got the numbers - I thought adding them to the MiCollab server would do it, but I think it might be when I add them to the MiCollab server, that adds them to the MDUG on the controller, and then the MiCollab Client gets them from there.
