Hi,

I've had various issues trying to resolve java working with win7 for backup of the mitel3300 .tar file it has worked years ago but not since. I can however FTP straight to the system no problem so was wondering what folders content required backing up that can restore if required? Or is it just worth taking the whole lot of content to be sure?

Hi,

I'm getting complaints by a department that their 5312 handsets are constantly quiet when answering calls, each time they have to manually press the volume up button several times on the phone to hear callers. Is this something that is controlled on the 3300 system at all? That i can force the set handsets to be on max volume without interaction?

Thanks for the feedback. I can confirm that COS and COR are set the same as other phones that do work. I will add though having checked the system. The phone is in a dept pickup group and a ring group plus a overflow ring group for the same dept. When an external call comes in the user is only transferring the call to another member of her team that would be in the same pickup/ring group. Could this have any effect on how the phone behaves?

I've got a strange issue with an end users 5312 phone. I can transfer internal calls around no problem but if an external call comes in and i try to transfer it will not work? Any idea of what the cause could be or what settings i need to check?

Hi,

We have a 5324 handset with the conference phone module attachment that allows us to switch the call to the module speaker with better mic etc... I was just wondering how it can receive multiple calls for people dialling into this conference for say a 3-4 way call if at all possible?
Does the person in front of the 5324 have to make all the calls to say have a 3 way conversation call out to party A, park their call, call party B? Does anyone know the correct keys to press to actually have a 3 or more party call? Rather than say a webex session?

Hi,

I have a 5324 handset that during dialing of a number comes back as invalid half way through inputting? Can anyone advise on how i can rule out the handset isn't blocked from dialing toll numbers etc...? The system is a Mitel 3300 if anyone can navigate me that would be much appreciated.

Hi,

We have a Mitel 3300 system and using 5312 handsets. I had a query from a end user that he would his phone to just ring and ring when not around so that the voicemail doesnt kick in? I'm scratching my head thinking is this possible?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a supported headset that will plug in to a Mitel 5550 reception console? Can be wired although wireless would be beneficial. Struggling to find a UK retailer that states 'it works with a 5550 console'

Hi Martyn,

Thanks for the reply. The phones have the 1Gb base module upgrades on them so would like to utilize that on the gigabit network here. I do have a POE injector so will give it a try once i get hold of a switch.

Hi,

We have a scenario whereby only have 2 1gb LAN ports in an office and would like to have 3 Mitel 5312 handsets setup. I have a Mitel 3300 system onsite but wondered if its possible to have them going through a gigabit hub?

sorry guys my information was vague. I'm based in the UK and the system internal numbers are 4 digit characters. dialling 9,111 returns a access denied after about 10 seconds of silence.

Hi,

We have a Mitel 3300 system and i'm trying to figure out where i can an entry for a emergency contact number. I can see within system speed calls that 999 has already been added and if dials it calls 9999 (first 9 being there for an outside line) i've tried adding the entry 111 as the speed call number with the actual number being 9111 but it doesnt appear to work. It does seem to be half way there though phone takes a while before returning access denied. Is there a COS entry i need to enable for this or any other issue that i've missed?

Hi,

Our company is looking at having potentially 3 different businesses located in our building. We currently have a mitel 3300 system and 2 receptionists dealing with the switchboard. If we bought 2 additional business line numbers for the other 2 businesses that will be housed here can the mitel 3300 distinguish what number has been dialed so reception know how to answer the phone for the appropriate business?
