Title: UC360 echo issue
Post by: msouva on April 24, 2017, 10:43:24 AM
Has anyone else had issues with the UC360 and echo?  I have callers on the other end of the UC360 complaining of echo.

I have a few deployed in rooms far too big and echo-y to use a conference phone and have found they tend to do a pretty good job overall.

Haven't seen this for years... literally. Seems to me there was early firmware that would produce echo in certain instances and an upgrade fixed it, otherwise the quality of these sets is great all around.

I have a little bit of an update on this and was wondering if anyone else might have had this issue.  They are wrapping the network cable around the base of the UC360 to store the network cable.  I believe that if 4 to 5 turns of the network cable are left around the base, the echo issue seems to be worse.  I left the unit in the same place and completely unwound the network cable and the echo went away.  Any thoughts on this?  My experience says with the POE voltage through the network cable a field is being generated and affecting the unit.

I just checked on something with these UC360.  The microphones might be around the base of the unit where the cable was wrapped.
