Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: How to force DTMF method? Impossible?

This all sounds like Mitel don’t really listen to requests that come in

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Voicemail ports
« on: December 19, 2018, 12:38:15 PM »
Hello all
Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to monitor Voicemail port usage.

We have a site that uses AA + embedded call recording + general and User mailbox functions.

Our site had issues when callers dialled in and got the AA greeting but know options worked, then they didn’t for 2-4 test calls, then they did, etc.

All calls into the Mitel used out band DTMF so we know this wasn’t an option. We are thinking with the call volume at this time could it be no ports available

Looks like we will probably be the 1000 person / company to put this request into Mitel. I can’t see much happening of this.
We are also speaking to SIP team to see if the SBC’s can manage this and send all signalling to Mitel systems with TE option. Hopefully this option will be quicker then waiting for Mitel to act

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / DTMF in MiVB 8 SP 3
« on: December 17, 2018, 01:45:59 PM »
Hello all

I have searched the forum but I am wondering if anyone knows if The above MiVB supports inband DTMF over SIP?

We have a customer that receives calls from a Cisco Call Manager site and the DTMF seems to be inband. The Wireshark from the SIP SBC and MBG confirms this.

Also is it the MBG that handles all DTFM signalling and then passes that onto the MiVB and vice versa.

All outband sites work fine

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / The Mitel 69xx Series phones
« on: November 28, 2018, 05:45:38 PM »
Hello all.
I have two questions in regards to the 69xx series phone.

1. When you answer a call via the handset and them move the to call the handsfree. If you want to go back to the handset, how is this done? I have tried pressing the handsfree button and going via Audio path option but no joy unless I’m doing it wrong

2. Voicemail key is setup to dial into a mailbox and I can see the messages. When I press play the message won’t play and I get an error message advising to contact system admin. Does something need enabling on the PBX?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Office 365 on LATEST MIVB 8 release
« on: November 28, 2018, 04:55:15 PM »
Hello all.
Just wondering if anyone can advise on office 365 for voicemail to email.
At the moment I have done the following:-

System Option - set the senders email
Enabled embedded UM settings
* IMAP SERVER - office.office365.com
 * SSL, etc
Filled out the VM Network Server form
Filled out the UM Settings on the mailbox

Does anyone know what steps need to be checked on the Office 365 side? I have provided the WAN IP’s to the customer but this is still not working

Any tips or suggestion will be welcome as the hammer solution is getting close [emoji3][emoji3]

This is all setup in the MiVB and MBG GUI’s, depending on the release. In the network elements you enter the domain main in the FQDN sections and DNS SRV URL in the external FQDN.

On the MBG (mine is the lasted release) in the SIP trunks, you tick the DNS SRV box and then enter the DNS SRV url in the box next to it. Once the DNS SRV box is ticked the IP Address box should grey out, so you can only use one method.

All the other settings should match the ISP requirements for the service to work. Hope this helps [emoji3][emoji3]

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Log entries
« on: February 21, 2017, 06:22:06 AM »
Hello all

I hope you are all well. Just wondering if anyone has any doc's on what the entries mean in the MCD logs. Over the years I know a few to watch out for but most don't seem to make any sense really.

The one I want to understand is "IGMP -  bad igmp header checksum". I can see pages of entries in the logs so wondering what or is causing this error. Phones seem to randomly drop out and come back up and all I can see is the IGMP error and a port down error.

Thanks in advance

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Setting up Mitel AWC from scratch
« on: February 20, 2017, 06:14:49 AM »
ha ha that is really bad. Told you the course was years ago.

I am working through the AWC guide I have but will be nice to compare it to yours as well. Think some of the screen shots in the guide are from the MCD 4.1 lol. I feel so out of date

Mitel Software Applications / Setting up Mitel AWC from scratch

Hello All

Just wondering if anyone can help. It been a while since I initially did my Mitel MAS course and since then the versions have come thick and fast. My old AMC manual is a bit out of date and wondered if anyone had a latest version to hand??

If not a Mitel guide do you have anything that will point me in the right direction to set up AWC correctly. I have browsed the net and it seems to be a hidden secret as couldn't find much.

Thanks in advance

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Micollab Client on an iPhone

Thank you for your reply acejavelin. Can you setup a UC endpoint so you can call it directly or is it all managed via the MUDG with Grp presence?

Mitel Software Applications / Micollab Client on an iPhone
« on: December 05, 2016, 11:09:43 AM »
Hello All

Just wondering if anyone has an Idiots guide to setting up Micollab client on an iPhone. I am still waiting to get my SSL cert that I know I need but its just a few things on the MCD and MAS Im not sure about. I ideally want to pair this with a desk phone, so does this have to be a MDU on the MCD and is it going to be a UC Endpoint for the Micollab phone or a App Server port. Or is this all wrong and does it have to be EHDU.

Which ever the above need to be, I assume it needs to have an entry in the Telephone Directory for when the Micollab syncs with the MCD. As you can probably tell, this is going to be my first attempt, so any tips are very welcome.

I have already registered the MBG to the Client deployment and token is active in that part. cheers

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: SMTP RELAY issues & hit a brick wall
« on: November 30, 2016, 04:33:35 AM »
Thank you for your reply and with your advice I am slowly getting further with this now. we seem to be getting a handshake error now. I have tried to play around with the setting and change the port to 465 instead of 587 but when i did the diagontics failed. I have allowed deliveries on the Mitel

I have added some more screen shots of the logs and setup. Can you use this to maybe host a local mail server and then maybe add the accts to my outlook application?

So I can now see the logs on the hMailServer app. I have another service listening in port 25. I have stopped that but get an error message now.

This is my setup but get a 550 error
