Mitel Software Applications / Re: Weird MiCC Callback issue
« on: September 26, 2022, 07:32:26 AM »
MiCC actually has its own set of settings for inserting digits, area codes, etc, which I only found out when users couldn't re-dial [or return a call, can't remember] in Ignite. Maybe this affects callbacks too?

Mitel Software Applications / Re: MiContact Center Reports

Some of the reports require summarisation to have been run before they will make sense, but as this happens every night around 0200, then the only way this is the explanation would be if you ran the reports on the 23rd and 24th of August.

Seems odd that you would get a voicemail greeting then a RAD port. Would have thought that if VM had answered then the call couldn't go anywhere else.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Call Flows
« on: September 15, 2022, 12:19:27 PM »
They kept this new feature well hidden, didn't they??? I stumbled over it when I clicked the pitchfork icon on a mailbox and had a good play about with it.
The customer now has a multi-level auto-attendant that they're happy with, and I am happy at how much easier it is to configure than ACD paths with RADs and PIDLs.
Anyway, my question is, can I get the transfer to an extension NOT to say "The user xxxx is on the phone" before playing the mailbox greeting, when they've put their phone in DND? "Suppress Prompt" is ticked.

I think this is Visual C++ 2010 libraries missing.

« on: August 26, 2022, 09:19:25 AM »
If the call is answered [eg with a RAD] then goes to ringing, the caller should hear hold music. If this is something you want to do en masse then Call Coverage Services would do the trick. The RAD message could simply just be a bit of ringback.

Customer has multiple non-clustered systems connected with IP/Xnet trunks. They want to add some remote members to a ring group. Would I be right in thinking that External Hotdesk Users would be the way to do this?
I seem to remember that this required the callee to press a digit to accept the call when I tested on the PSTN but I assume this could be disabled as it wouldn't be necessary in this scenario.

23
Audit Logs will tell you what you changed and what it was before.

24
Are you sure that your SIP provider allows this? Were you using the same SIP trunk on your AX controller?

I find the following useful when trying to work out how widespread a packet loss issue is - find non-zero packet loss reports:

grep 'Lost:[1-9]\d*' -A 11 /var/log/tug/tug.log

26
If you don't have a serial port you can patch yourself directly into the LAN port and do a packet capture, you will eventually see it ARPing for the default gateway.

It means that 'find /var /opt /usr -name 'log4j-core*.jar'' returned no results.

Just tested this on a 9.4 system, works as expected.

Code: [Select]
[root@micollab ~]#  find /var /opt /usr -name 'log4j-core*.jar'
/var/lib/tomcat7/webapps/awv/WEB-INF/lib/log4j-core-2.13.3.jar

SIP TLS precludes any "help" from SIP ALGs!

Try removing the trunk label. I have no idea why this would propagate to the endpoints by default, it's much more useful to admins as a documentation field.
Or maybe a COS option could achieve this.

Mitel Software Applications / Re: MICC Client Auto Upgrades 9.1 to 9.3
« on: October 14, 2021, 09:32:57 AM »
If the upgrade didn't work then there is a long pause after trying to open CCC and then it eventually says it failed to upgrade, do you want to use the old version.
I think the user will need to be an admin to complete the install, so it's better if the service can do it.

Bear in mind the license allows you to deploy a second server instance for testing purposes. Well worth making use of if you have enough room in your virtual environment for another copy of the server.
