Title: How to set up a line key (Multiline set key assignment)?
Post by: dexs345 on August 11, 2011, 08:00:51 AM
Hello,

i am relatively new to the mitel and am having a few small issues with the button configuration of the ip phones.

I have isdn 30 with 12 channels. i would like to setup my key config so that i know which line is in use and which isnt.

I have tried setting up a button as a single line linked to the trunk number but this doesnt seem to work.  i get an error message saying the directory number is in use.

I am more familiar with the Panasonic where you can have a button setup per line.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time

Regards

Dexs

There is not a real easy solution as what you are trying to do is make a voip pbx into a key system. You can do direct line select with a FAC but as far as lighting a light that is another story that someone can give more information on. I try to really steer people away from this as it makes a mess in programming and negates the power of voip pbx.

I agree with brantn,
You really can't do what you're asking for on the 3300.
