Title: index number & digit strings

I'm trying to figure out the difference between two paging codes was provided to us to use:

Dial 26993 – code red
Dial 26991 – code yellow

does dialing one over the other mean that certain areas/phones are paged?

I checked form 31 "Attached" and found both index numbers 993 & 991 with their corresponding digit string which I could not translate to an answer, your help is much appreciated.

Post by: johnp on February 21, 2017, 06:27:03 PM: Not enough info, n=but assuming 26 is the speed dial access code the locations appear to dial #7 wait 1 second (*9) dial *301 or *303...a star in the speed dial requires 2 (**) to differentiate from other codes like *9

Hard to say... go to form 35 and see if you can find them.

#7 is not there? What about # by itself?

That is what is happening... it is essentially the same thing as someone dialing #7 (PAUSE) *301

#7 is accessing [something] and then dialing *301 into it, this type of setup is often used for external voicemail, paging terminals, etc.

so I have #7 and attached is form 26 that shows the leading digit string
So you are on the right track, you have to track it backwards now... look in 9-Show Strings and find the route that *301 is taking (there is probably only one entry. Look in the Routes to see what trunk group, then go to the trunk group and see what trunks and PLID they, then see what piece of equipment that connects to.

I traced back to the PLID and its connected to a Panasonic system. So I guess I'll have to look for 301&301 in the Panasonic system not the Mitel.
