Thank You for your reply. Like you said the early media supported is already set to YES. I did attached a wireshark image showing PBX sending RTP while the PSTN is ringing stage and also sending 180 Ringing. This is odd. PSTN cannot play the announcement/ringback send from PBX if PBX sends 180 Ringing.

Not sure why PBX sends RTP when sending 180 Ringing.

Hi,

From what is see if i change the "Audio for ringing this device" to File based MOH. the Music file in place should be played for the calling phone. when i capture the SIP and RTP, i see the PBX is sending the music to PSTN. But the PBX is sending "180 Ringing" for all the inbound calls. This is making the PSTN to ignore the RTP coming in and  play the local ringback.

Question: Who to we make the MiVoice Office 250 to send "183 Session Progress" So that the early media can be played?

Hi,

With the current configuration we have, the media is not anchored by by MiVoice business. Right now, the RTP connects from phone to ITSP(Not using MBG). We are trying to configure the PBX to anchor the media so that we don't need to open the phone IPs in VPN connection to ITSP. 

If the media anchoring on MiVoice Business is possible, would like to know the conflagration changes required. 

From SIP perspective, i want to send the Connection IP in SDP as PBX IP instead of phone IP.

Hi Guys,

I have an end to end TLS setup configured with MiVice Business-MBG-SIP Trunk Provider. For Some reason, MiVoice business is sending random source port to MBG when it's a TLS connection. MBG is using that source port in Via header which is causing interop issue with Service provider. I am trying to manipulate the Via Header towards the setside and send static port(5061) using profiles. With profiles, i was successful changing in FROM header. But not on Via. Not sure what i am missing.

Question: If anyone has a profile that can make changes in Via header Host or Port, i just need the login. Let me know.

Thank You Sarond. You are correct. The CXi does not support 9.0 upgrade due to it's processor speed.

May be a stupid question. Is the CXi platform compatible to upgrade to Version 9.X?

Because, i am trying to use migration tool and i got an error as shown in image below.

when i tried to upgrade using the installation tool, getting error saying " No compatible version found"

From my understanding, the only way we can upgrade the MiVoice Business to 9.X is using the Server-manager. In the past i did upgraded the MXe-III to 9.X using server manager.

In case of CXi, How can we upgrade to 9.X?

Hi,

We have a CXi platform. I am trying to upgrade the MiVoice Business from 8.0 SP3 PR3 to  9.0 SP1. For that i am trying to access the server manager(https://{IP}/server-manager/). I am getting an error saying " 404 - /server-manager/ ----The requested resource is not available."

Can anyone help me to understand what i am missing here?

The issue was solved. From the beginning I was expecting to see some traffic as soon as  I provide IP address and boot the device. That was not happening. It looks like the device only sends traffic when only the network is activated for FTP.

The issue was with these two boot parameters “Boot device and File name”. To get the file form external and enable network parameters gave  “motfcc”. Also the File name has to be “Boot_Install not RTC8260. When I set the motfcc, then I saw file request from PBX IP.

One quick question.

In the technical hand book, it say's "Connect a straight-through Ethernet cable (RJ-45) from the controller leftmost Ethernet port (port 17 on the CXi and CXi II; port 1 on the CX, CX II, MXe, and MXe Server) and the PC’s network interface card(NIC).

I am connecting to the LAN port of my CXi to the Ethernet port of PC. The PC is in the same network that "inet on ethernet" IP on the CXi.

Question: is port 17 is same as LAN?

didn't see any change with change in speed and duplex to auto.

Below is the the switch port configuration. This is a layer 3 switch. The PBX was always connected to same port(While it was working)

I did connected the LAN port on the 3300 directly to laptop LAN port which i have provisioned the static IP in the same vlan. I still don't see any traffic on the PC port(Wireshark)

acejavelin, Thank You for the Response. I am following the technical documentation for manual install and like you said i have software on a PC which is in the same vlan.

Issue here is, I am not able to access the IP assigned to PBX. If i can, then i will be able to get the FTP connection.  Not sure what i am missing here to get the layer-3 connectivity to PBX up in running.

This is a lab system. We work on interop tests with Mitel PBXs against different service providers. As part of that, we got a requirement from a customer for a 7.2 version test.
