Title: What happens after initial recording?

Customer calls in, gets the recording of "please wait while we connect your call" then silence.  I would like to play our on hold music at this point, but it seems to me that I don't have that option; I have to play a recording from the autotex recordings.

I'd love to be proven wrong.

I did some more digging.  It seems that after that recording plays, the application should timeout and go to the destination specified by the timeout.  In this case, it's a hunt group that has on-hold music set and also has an announcement set.  It's my impression that the announcement should play, for whatever reason, isn't

I'm not sure that I understand where your issue comes in at. Is this a CRA doing a transfer or are they waiting in a HG to be answered?

Well there are locations within CRAs and HG that allow you to determine what plays during certain scenarios.

If you are transferring from an Auto Attendant to a Hunt Group, I believe you need an Extension ID created in Voice Processing for the Hunt Group. Also, the announcement device in the HG does not "play" until the HG's announcement timer expires.
