Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 53xx Phones Reset

I am having a random issue. Randomly throughout the day different people's phones will reset & reboot when completing a call.  Not always the same people and seems pretty sporadic. Only seemed to notice it after moving from PRI to SIP trunks.

Anything to look at?

Sorry for long delay... I've tried everything and am scratching my head. I've compared firewall rules with a working site and everything is identical. I've compared peer profiles. Both use same cos... I'm so lost!

The audio isn't making its way back to the 5000. Its sending out of the 3300 just fine.

Also strange thing is the 3300 isn't picking up the caller id of the 5000 extension calling. I have a rewrite setup to map all that sites phone numbers to an outbound did just like my other sites and it doesn't do it.

But let's revisit that later. One way audio is the main thing. My local vendor is scratching their heads too.

OK. To follow up. Everything works awesome!!

911 shouldnt be an issue I dont think, I can test but we currently have all outbound calls that are routed to the 3300 mapped to an outgoing DID. That DID has this remote locations information assigned to it specifically for 911.

Also they have a panic button kinda.. they have a single analog trunk they can hit and dial 911 if need be.

Maybe I am just having one of those days but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to program a key on a 5330 or 5360 phone to allow me to see another extension and whether or not they are on their line or dnd, etc. I can setup a speedkey to their extension but that doesnt give me any visibility.... probably something totally simple I am missing.

I was looking at this... what should I set the outgoing extention to on each phone if not the sip trunk? How do I default it back to ARS?

Good Morning,

I have an issue. I have a 5000 talking to a 3300 over SIP. When I make intercom calls between the two everything is perfect. However when the 5000 uses the 3300's trunks to dial out we have a one way audio situation. The remote caller can here just fine but the 5000 cannot hear anything. Essentially once you grab the trunks the 5000's handset goes silent, you dont even hear dial tone.

I'm sure its a COS thing with the 3300.... I just cant figure it out as I compared it to another site we have that is working fine....

Update. Ok I figured it out, well. not the whole 10005 dial pattern. But I went into the Associated Extensions for a phone, set the outgoing extension to the SIP trunk group and was able to grab the SIP trunks at our corporate location.

My feature key for outgoing calls is 8.

In dial rules I told it to add "9" for number 8.

However when I press 8 to grab an the trunk it doesnt pass the 9. I still must dial it.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Sorry for the super long delay in posting back. OK, I've gone into the 5000 and figured some of it but some doesnt make sense. Let me try and map it out for you right now:


Facility Group - P1506
Dial Rule - 1 - Echo Access
Trunk Group/Node - 92002 - 3300   --This is correct.

Route Group - P1001
Dial Pattern - 10005
Facility Groups - P1506

Dial Rules
The number 8 has an add 9 next to it.

Ok this is how it was currently setup without me making any changes to it. What I am totally confused on is the Route Group. The dial pattern is 10005 which is an extension on the 3300 side of things. Should it just be "8"? Because remember right now from the 5000 you dial 8 and it grabs the outbound trunks on the 3300 and then you must dial 9 to start dialing out.

I just cant figure out on the 5000 where its setup for you to push 8 and then magically be connected. Thoughts?

Huh, yeah thats exactly what I am trying to do. Most of the other buttons allow me to change them just fine this same way. A few seem to be "locked" out.

Key 9 is the standard transfer key. Phone type is 8528. When I click it, it does nothing.

Quick question.

I have a site on 3.2.4.54 and I am making a bunch of changes to their keymaps in order to make them more consistent with the rest of our sites.

Because of our setup its necessary to make the transfer key do a transfer to hold instead of transfer to ring. On our 5.x systems I just click the key map entry for button 9 and change it. On this specific site it wont let me change it, doesnt even give me that option. I can change all the other keys just not that one.

If I cant change the button is there a way to system wide make all transfers become transfer to hold instead of transfer to ring?
