Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Connecting a PSTN line to the 3300
« on: February 20, 2019, 07:18:52 AM »
Depending on model 3300's have embedded analog units fitted that take PSTN lines via RJ11 connections 4 ONS and 6 LS trunks IIRC) Look on the rear panel. You will need to programme various bits on the Mitel to get the to work. It can get a bit fiddly and I would suggest you line them up using the provided test to make sure they work correctly.

If you are not sure then get your provider in.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: CLIENT CAN NOT CALL LOCAL
« on: February 18, 2019, 08:24:19 AM »
Have you set up the ARS digits dialled list to allow the local call to proceed;

So when you dial 9 + 3240999 the Mitel inserts a  local code (0225)

So system knows to strip the 9 and you set ARS to add 0225. Call flow is

Customer dials 9 + 324xxxx (where the 7 digits are a local number)  and system strips 9 adds 0225 and dials 0225324xxxx

You would have to make a route for every local number sso lets say numbers beginning with 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 (only use the ones you need.). So if all local numbers start with 324 (for instance) you would have to set up a single route but if (for instance) local numbers start with 32,33,34,36,38 then you would set up a ARS entry as above using each of the leading digits.

It all depends on how your local numbers are set up by your provider.

« on: February 15, 2019, 09:48:08 AM »
Not sure to the extent but I do know that SIP trunks are not treated as 'trunks' in some cases; they are treated like private IP trunks rather than public trunks  (system to system which is probably why they are not treated as public trunks) IIRC. Call length timer being one. Is that option available from the station settings. That may have changed in later releases.

You have the protocol settings on the E1 incorrect in all probability. Change them to suit your E1.

Have you got access to the system itself for programming? If so it is in there. What release of software do you have? I wouldn't go anywhere near a factory reset...... Have you tried #97?

or try this (depends on release of software but may work)

press the blue superkey
press no until you get to personal keys
press yes
select a key to program (unused key)
press the no button until you get to headset and press yes.
press superkey

pressing that button will light the led if the function is active and darken it if off. Turn it to ff and then delete the key using the above till you get to press clear when you press the key you have just programmed.

This may be different depending on the level of software on the 3300

You need to turn off headset working. usually there is a button programmed to turn headset working on and off but if this has not been done there is a code to do it or programme a button, turn it off and then delete the button.

I would run a temporary homerun to the network because it certainly looks like your problem from here....because your other option is wireshark....

« on: December 23, 2018, 04:12:27 AM »
There is a maintenance command to look at the voicemail ports to give live status of each port. From memory it is a stat command and there are options to use. Check out maintenance command help which lists all these things.

24
Did you try on a different port on the switch? I had this with 5224's in the past and it always came down to software levels on the controller.

Round and round in circles doth Mitel forever go. 30 years ago Mitel w just like this (distributor only unless you were a big guy) and here we are back again. Glad I'm out of it.

Wrong protocol maybe?

I think,IIRC, SIP CPN substitution has to be set in the SIP peer profile rather than the 'normal' place in CPN substition. (assuming VoLTE is SIP).

29
Go to your time out settings for INTERNAL call timer for outgoing call time allowed. If you see 150 secs there change that to no timer/off and your problem will go. For some strange reason sip trunks are set as internal calls on the 3300.

Depends on the release. some early ones required a reboot weekly, later ones are better but I still had all mine that I looked after reboot at least every three months. of course that depends on how it is used and how much you can afford to be without it for maybe 15 minutes.
