Hi,
We have a Mitel 3300 system with 5312 and 5324 handsets. I was wondering if it was possible to setup a feature where by users who are out and about can dial in to retrieve there voice mails? Is this an add-on or if someone can point me in the right direction of a configuration method it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

To do this all you need is a way to dial into VM from the outside.
If you have a PRI then odds are really high that all you need to know is the number to call.
If you don't have a PRI then your receptionist can transfer you to VM.
Once you call VM you'll probably hear your auto attendant. Press "#". It will ask you for your mail box.
Enter your mail box an then your password.

You can probably also ring your own DDI and press # when you hear your own voicemail prompts - that works on both Mitel switches I maintain.

Hi
Thanks for your help.
When i call the number from external it goes to voice mail i press # but that doesnt give me any other prompt at all seems to cut the automated message short for me to leave a message?
Is there anything i need to check thats enabled?
Thanks in advance

I think you will find its * not #. pressing * you will be prompted for mailbox number enter this then it will prompt for passcode

Hi,
Sorry to be a pain but when i press the * key i get a automated message asking me for the ext of the number i'd like to reach or 9 for a personnel directory....
-
Experiment just a bit.
After you get the message to enter the extension number, press '*' again. If that doesn't get you to "enter your extension number" press '#'.

so you can press my applaud key ;)
Done.
I forget that's available. It really is something we should do more often.
When someone provides help it's kinda nice to show appreciation.
The applaud button is a good way to do that as well as a thank you.
