Title: Music On Hold files
Post by: ralph on July 12, 2010, 11:57:19 AM
Any one know how to use Audacity to save files in a format the 3300 can use for MOH?
I know 8bit, mono, u-law or A-law but I can't figure out how to save in that format.
I've been using Windows Record to convert but quality really suffers because of it.

I tried Audacity too. Not much luck.

I ended up using GoldWave to do it.

When saving the file I saved it as type wav and attributes were ulLaw, mono.

Hope that helps.

Open the file with Windows recorder and then save in the appropriate format

I'd been using Windows Sound Recorder to do just that.   Unfortunately, I thought the sound quality sucks.   It seemed to add white noise to it for some reason.   I blame windows of course.  Wanted to try something new.   My son just picked up an iMac.  (nice!)  Perhaps I can talk him into trying it for me so I can compare the quality.
