Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Restore backup MCD 8 to MCD 6

Is there any way to restore a backup file from MCD 8 (14.0.0.95) to MCD 6 (12.0.3.15)?
One of our customer have some difficulty with ID Caller on their peripheral cabinets, so we want to downgrade the MCD version.

Mitel Software Applications / Outbound Port 5020

Hi,
We have a new upcoming project that needs to make auto-outbound calls, 120 calls per minute. We set everything up and tested the requested procedure, but there is a huge problem! All the outbound ports (we set 60 outbound ports), make calls immediately after running the workflow but for making other calls those ports will wait for some considerable time, which lead us to not meeting the requested SLA!
So, how can I speed up the waiting time between 2 calls for each port?
PS1: I already checked all the ports' CoS and reduced all the time to its' minimum.
PS2: the amount of waiting before making another call is not the same for each port and it seems like it's random.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MiVCR PVD patterns

Hello guys,

We have an old MiVCR that we lost all of the data on it and the only thing that we have is the vmdk disk including all the PVD files.
I asked to our developer team to help me out on creating a report based on MiCC reports and attach the appropriate PVD to them.
So, here is the question, anyone could possibly know how Mitel arrange the pattern of the PVD files?

Hi
We need to restrict some supervisors for not having access to the others supervisors agents list and their shifts.
Is there any way to do this?
PS: I'm aware that we can restrict the monitoring (MiContact Client) for supervisors and create some profiles, but I couldn't find anything to restrict them in Workforce Scheduling.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Access ACD Logs on Mitel 3300

Hello everyone,
Is there anyway to capture ACD Data/Logs as what we do fr SMDR?
By using Logsys Read <FileName> into ... command? or even a scheduler backup?
Any application that can login to the MiVB server and collect logs on port number 15373 (ACD Port) also would be helpful.

Hello everyone,

Recently, I was trying to customize the queue public-facing for different queues.
According to the documents, I edited chat.public.config.js (Down the list, ChatQueues) and when I did refresh the related web page nothing showed up. When I try to edit the DefaultConfig (without editing ChatQueue), I have had not any problems and can customize the default configs, but when it comes to ChatQueues I face the above problem. I've attached a picture of this problem.

Hi,
We have an agent (agent number 1027 logged in on extension number *201) that is in 2 different queues. Each queue has its own survey (in MiCC) and we send customers automatically on a satisfaction survey to rate the caller's experience when agent hangs the phone up (via Post Call Destination Call Coverage). Since each extension has only one Call Coverage, both queues are now sending all the calls only on one survey.
Besides, we try to do this manually by transferring calls to survey but when the agent hangs the phone up survey will be dropped.
Is there any way that we can solve this problem? Probably by setting post call destination for queues rather than agents? (not sure if such thing is possible or not)
FYI: we use MiVB Release level: 7.2 SP1 PR1

SIP On Mitel / Problem in Sip trunking Via PSTN

Hello guys,

I just tried to implement a sip trunking with PSTN via MBG.
Everything is right and I have incoming and outgoing calls correctly, but I have one problem with some specific phone, Mitel 6863i !
In this type of phone, I faced 2 problems:

1. In incoming calls, voice is one-way. Called party's voice can't be heard by calling party. Calling party must change the lines (1 to 2 and again 2 to 1) or put the call on hold and release it in order to be able to hear the calling party voice.
2. 6863i extension can't send DTMF

Instead of MBG I ran a free pbx (Elastix) as gateway and both of the above problems were solved. Since Elastix (the core is Asterix) using IAX and IAX2 protocols (Inter-Asterisk eXchange), it can forward all the incoming signal and media into port number 4569 (UDP).

The question is, is there any way for MiVB or MBG to tell incoming signals and media to be merged into one port?

I would appreciate your replies and thank you all in advance.

SIP On Mitel / MBG Configure on MiVB 9.0 for sip trunking via PSTN

Hello everyone,
I just upgraded my MiVB 8.0 to MiVB 9.0.
Since this version using a single IP for both MSL and controller, I'm a little confused how can I install and configure MBG on MSL?
I know that I can monitor and configure MSL using RS232 port on controller, but where can I set the Gateway IP of my PSTN for MBG and sip trunking via PSTN?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Where is DHCP in MiVB 9.0?!

Hello guys
I just upgraded my MiVB 8 to MiVB 9 and all of the sudden some of my phones ,which were configured to get IP via DHCP, didn't work.
I have some excepcion 2 message on all the phone's screen. Since it was late at night and I hadn't access to the cisco man I had to configure all the phone with static IP and the problem was solved.
But here is the real deal, where is DHCP in MiVB 9.0?? is this just disappear and removed in this version? Because this is so, it's a big problem for me and all the organisation we are working with.
I hope someone can help me.

Hello guys,

There are 2 different SIP Trunks via PSTN and we have the number 68897000 for department A and another one for department B.

For department A, I set the hunt group #800, including 20 voicemail port, in Dial In Trunk Answer Point as Auto Attendant. With this topology I'm not able to use DID since all the incoming calls are redirected to #800.

Then I absorbed 5 digits in Dial In Trunks Incoming Digit Modification - Absorb, and forward 000 to #800 in CDE Speed Calls form.
So, this is what we have:
Any call to 68897000> 5 digit absorb> 000 redirected to #800
Any call to 68897XXX> Will be connected to extension number XXX


With this topology We can use both Auto Attendant and DID but we have a bigger problem. Whomever who calls to Department B will hear the Voice for Department A since all of the 000 are forwarding to #800, and in Trunk Attribute related to Department B 5 digits also are absorbed.

Is there any way that I would have Auto Attendant (Dial In Trunks Answer Point) and Direct Inward Dial calls (DID) at the same time?

Hi,

I have an SIP trunk with PSTN.
We use different phones such as Mitel 6940, 5320e, 5312 and 5505-Sip.
All of them act finely on incoming and outgoing calls.
But also, we have some 6863i sip phones. In outgoing calls we haven't had any problems. But incoming calls make me a little bit confuse.
Here is the problem: when someone from an analogue line calls the extension 801 (for instance) using DID 49787801 I can't hear the voice of caller side but they can hear me. Then I put them on hold and release it, then they can hear me as well.
But if the caller calls me with a mobile phone, we can hear each other without any problem.
So, what could be the reason? should I change any item in Sip Device Capabilities? or in sip peer profile?
Please let me know if you have any thoughts
I also have WireShark packets on MBG for those who may concern.

SIP On Mitel / T.38 Fax

Hi,
I ran a SIP trunk via MBG and I have the number 78434XXX. For the Fax I should set the number of 222.
I have T.38 and Compression licenses and also I installed DSP II card.
I set 222 as generic sip and registered it in "ventafax server". I can send fax but for receiving I have 2 problems.
No.1 is that the sender must press 1 after the fax server answer the call, it seems something like DTMF.
No.2 is that when they press the number 1 the sender machine start to send the paper but in the middle of that it is stopped and the call will disconnect, then I received an error "No response from fax (Er 29)"
does anyone have any thoughts?
