You'll need something like MiVoice Call Recording or a third party platform, and also an MBG with an SRC installed. You can then put the phones in teleworker mode through the SRC and it will record traffic through the devices. At that point I don't think it matters if it's a multicall or ACD line.

Will i have to do this for every extension? There's well over 300 phones in our system.

You could do it via an export/import to save time.

Is there a MiCC ? There is a config somewhere (can't remember right now if in the queue or agent group) to keep the last agent logged in (and ringing) instead of disconnecting it.

"Queue Callers To Group When No Local Agents Are Logged In and Present" in the Agent Group settings, and "ACD Make Last Agent Unavailable on No Answer" in System Options can also come into play in this situation.

It's in System Options so it'll change the behavior of every queue on the system.

I believe it dials the last extension to light the message waiting indicator.

The PRI's are in Trunks > Digital > Digital Trunks.

There's an order it'll make you do it in, but I think you delete the Digital Trunks, then the Digital Links, then you can delete any Trunk Groups you had with those in it. Then there won't be any to alarm.

I can't remember the exact order but it keeps telling you if you wrong and why like "I can't delete this until you remove it from this form" type of guidance.

SIP On Mitel / Re: SIP Trunks, ATA's, and faxing through a MiVB

I am interested in the answer to this as well.

We have a high rise with several hundred analog connections, mostly due to fax machines and use ASU-II's which do really well and aren't prohibitively expensive.

Yes, you can find the number in Users and Devices > Advanced Configuration > Multiline Appearance Groups. Once typed in there it will show you at the bottom all the sets it appears on and what key. I don't think you can delete it from there though, only change the key type. However, it would give you a list of where to delete it from.

Even though the system only uses one timezone, I had to explicitly set the Zone ID to "1" in the ACD Path Options.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: External relay from hook switch
« on: July 28, 2023, 09:13:15 AM »
What would this be for?  Something at someone's desk so they could spy on them?

Or is it something like a door phone where they need something triggered when someone at the door goes off hook?

Ralph

Frustratingly, I have no idea. Part of them pretending they're clandestine, is that they never want to explain themselves. Their tech supervisor called me because he wasn't to do something. He is unable or unwilling to tell me what he's trying to accomplish, even in general terms. I asked, "Is your goal interacting with a system, or live interaction with someone in the room?" and he wasn't able to answer...

The only thing he said was that he needed a relay that would open and close when the handset was picked up, because he had figured out a way to do whatever the heck he wanted to do if I could provide that.

After I posted this, I went back to him to clarify if he specifically needed a relay for some reason, or if he really just needed a circuit that opened and closed. He confirmed that an opening and closing circuit would do the job, so I pointed him to the same kind of micro-switches that cheap 3D printers use for end-stops, and suggested affixing one of those to the top of the phone where the handset hangs over. They activation pressure is very low, so he should be able to find a mounting height where it reliable closes the switch when the handset is on the base without interfering with the actual hook switch. Effective, he's going to hot-glue an external hook switch to the phones, so I guess we're good.

Almost sounds like a headset lifter kit!

I think there's a backlight on/off setting in the COS, but nothing for contrast to my knowledge.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Alternate Transfer failing
« on: July 26, 2023, 08:56:22 AM »
Ralph's method works just fine - this is only for extra info. On Alternate Transfer to external destinations I use the String:

S+[outbound number]+H

So for yours:

S+8[number]+H

The "S" on the dial string on an alternate transfer activates the "switch hook" or puts the call on hold, dials the number, then the "H" hangs up.

If they think the DTS key is the solution, why not just replace that with an "Ext Call" key that is a user speedcall that just dials 9. Then they can type the 10 digit number. Same amount of keypresses really.

Nothing wrong with the VPN set up and not using an MBG from a networking standpoint. I do it all the time, granted with 3300's and not 400's but in the phone world it will work just fine.

My concern reading that through is the inability to ping across sites.
