Mitel Software Applications / Re: Issues with Softphone on iPhone
« on: January 23, 2024, 08:23:19 AM »
I too have been seeing this on iPhones. What version of MiCollab are you on?

I'm having the same issue with not being able to create a deleted extension and mailbox. I use IDS to create the user in the system from our Active Directory. I have a couple of extensions that are having the same issue. When I do a Locate Feature Extension it shows that it doesn't exist. Same with Locate Number. When I do a search in Nupoint it shows that that extension is free and not being used. My guess is there is a trace of them in the database but I don't know how get to it or check. Anybody have any ideas what I could do to be able to create these extensions?

This is a pretty old topic, you may get more visibility posting it as a new one with your software versions.

That would be really nice. I have some contact centers that get hit after the Call Directors so MiCC doesn't report on anything before the calls get there.

SIP On Mitel / TA7108 Extensions "Invalid" when registered
« on: December 06, 2023, 02:23:35 PM »
This is on a MiVB 3300 8.0 SP3.

I have a TA7108 SIP Fax Adapter and have a used a few in the past. I have one where two extensions were cut over from an ASU II and did fine. The third, and any subsequent ones we add will show "Out of Service" when we call them until they register from the server when we change them from analog to SIP. All expected so far.

The issue is that once registered from the MiVB the extension goes "invalid"

The TA7108 Shows  the extensions "Registered" and LOCATE FEATURE EXTENSION in the MiVB shows the extension "Login active at SIP"

The ones that are working do not appear to have any differences such as COS or SIP Device Capabilities.

Am I truly just losing my mind?

Make sure it's also removed from Trunks > IP/XNET > ICP/PBX Networking.

I have seen it before where even when this is done a reboot is required to clear the alarm.

It depends how your main numbers are set up - if they have a COS capable of forwarding you would just add it in Call Forwarding Profile.

This is almost always a firewall issue. Your settings might be mirrored but what about your network circumstance? Teleworker, LAN, etc?

Is there any reason you're not having them hotdesk?

How about this:
1) Set up an account code with a restricted COR/COS. - export it to CSV named "Restricted.csv".
2) Change the COR/COS to be unrestricted. - export it to CSV named "unRestricted.CSV".
3) Set up a schedule to upload the "Restricted.csv" file at start of times when it should be restricted.
4) Set up a schedule to upload the "unRestricted.csv" file at the start time when it should not be restricted.

You'll still have to use an account code but the schedule will change the COR/COS based on time so it can only be used during certain times of day.

This sparked something in my mind. If it's just a single devices it could be on a Business Schedule that kicks it to a restricted COR based on time of day. I guess that's not really explicitly allowing staff to lock/unlock though. You could have the staff phones be able to put the system in day/night mode which would allow use of the device on demand - if nothing else depends on that feature.

Would the staff be able to physically unlock/lock this phone? I can think of PIN locking it but I don't think that can be unlocked from another phone and that would be with an IP phone not an analog.

Could make it a Hotline and have the destination transfer it, but that could get very tedious depending on how often it's used.

I would also disable G.729 if you disable T.38 so it forces 711.

Are other phones successfully connecting to the SRC?

Nothing wrong with a good ol' MXe III. It can run the latest version of everything.

That said, it's probably time to start formulating a plan to virtualize or go cloud. You have plenty of time if you start now.

You could also set Max Call History Records to 0 in the Service Details tab.

Depending on the nature of the failure you could swap the iButton inside without changing anything in the AMC. You'd need to either swap or have the same expansion cards in there too like DSP, T1 Line Cards, RAID controller etc. Having SSD's or HDD's ready with the same software load you intend on restoring would save you time in a restore scenario because you wouldn't have to load that before doing the restore.
