MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: 53XX IP Phones Nat to the 5000
« on: August 18, 2015, 10:13:51 AM »
jmarx33,

First off make sure that the remote phones are not in a Network Group that uses Peer-To-Peer Audio.

System > Devices and Feature Codes > Network Groups: Are any set for peer-to-peer audio?

If there is then drill further into the group an see if you can find your remote phones under the Phones section. If they are then just put them in a Network Group that doesn't have peer-to-peer audio set to yes.

If that doesn't fix it then let us know.

Thanks,

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Mitel 5540 IP swap
« on: August 17, 2015, 02:48:46 PM »
ESA1178,

First of all the Mitel 5000 has been relabeled to the MiVoice Office 250 and the Mitel 3300 has be relabeled to the MiVoice Business.

So you need to determine whether or not you have a 5000 or a 3300. As for giving you a way to get into them without knowing the password I would say to call Mitel Direct and let them get into it and change it for you.

As for the phone issue the solution dwayneg gave you should work for either system as long as they didn't change what the replacement code is.

Rasritz,

That is not something you can do on the base 5000 system. The best solution is get a call recording solution installed like the Oaisys Tracer or Talkument. I think there is also a way if you have Intelligent Call Router that comes with CSM.

gr8twhtd0pe,

You can block calls based on Outside Party Number with the base system, but not Outside Party Name. If you know what the numbers are then you just need to create a Call Routing Table and change the Call Routing Key to Outside Party Number. Then inside the Call Routing Table you would put in the 10-digit number that you are receiving calls from that you want to block.

I normally create a Call Routing Announcement that just hangs up on them after playing a message about blocked Caller ID not being accepted.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Mitel 5320 Phones IC Error
« on: August 13, 2015, 11:18:22 AM »
kmarsden123,

You are correct about it being a 5000, but for future reference a 5320 IP Phone can be used on either the 3300 or the 5000. There are two key indicators that this is on a Mitel 5000

1. It is using pretty much the default keymap
2. It has Call Keys

I am not sure why that even have an IC Key though as far as I can tell it isn't needed, but that is not the issue here. Have the unplug their phone so it powers down and then plug it back in.

If the problem persists after that then we may need to look at what the system thinks is going on.

kmarsden123,

Are you sure it is attached to a Mitel 5000 as I think the 3300 has a feature that shows the last call? If it is a 5000 then just have them unplug the phone and plug it back in to reset it.

Akuhn,

Most likely he is using DEE for the call then and it would be the Unsupervised CO Conference Timer for that.

System > Conference Related Information > Meet-Me Conferencing > Unsupervised CO Conference Timer: I believe that the default is 15 minutes though.

bll0059,

You will need to identify the Call Routing Announcement that is used as your Auto Attendant then change the Timeout value to where you want it to go.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Number re-writing
« on: August 10, 2015, 05:14:14 PM »
temple,

Well you would first create a new Dial Rule.

System > Numbering Plan > Dial Rules: Take the first available Add that has nothing under Digits and single left-click on the Digits column field and add 118365

Next you need to create a new Facility Group that will use the new Dial Rule and label it Directory Assistance or whatever you want to make sense to you.

System > Numbering Plan > Facility Groups: Right-Click in the area to the right and select Create Facility Group.

Within the Facility Group you will want to delete all the default Dial Rules and add the one you just created and nothing else.

Also within the Facility Group you will need to make sure that the Trunk Groups/Nodes are the same as they would be for Local Calls; I assume that is considered a local call in the UK.

Next you will need to create a Dial Rule that look for any 118NNN number and then tell it to use the new Facility Group.

System > Numbering Plan > Route Groups: Right-Click in the area to the right and select Create Route Group and label it Directory Assistance.

Then you will need to go into the Dial Patterns and add what you are looking for. We know that you want it to start with 118 but I am not sure as to what all of the patterns could possibly be so there are few ways to do this. The first is to put in every different combination manually within the Dial Patterns and it will go through them all until one matches and then use the new Facility Group. The other is simpler is you know what all of the patterns could be. The way to do this is to use Wildcards and they follow the rules below.

System > Numbering Plan > Route Groups > Dial Patterns:

X = Any digit 0-9
A = Any digit 0-9, #, or *
N = Any digit 2-9
Z = Digit 0 or 1
  • = Optional Digits; for example 2[13]2 matches 22 or 2132

(x-x) = Range of Digits for example (320-360)XXXX matches any 7-digit number with the first digits between 320 and 360, inclusive.

Personally I would start with 118XXX and hope that catches everything without matching with something that you want users to be able to dial.

After that you would change the Facility of the Route Group to go to your new Facility Group.

System > Numbering Plan > Route Groups > Facility Groups: Add the new Facility Group [Directory Assistance]

After that you will need to create an Emergency Route Group by following the same steps as creating the new Directory Assistance Route Group, but label it Emergency Calls. This I will explain later but it needs to be done with what you are doing here.

System > Numbering Plan > Route Groups: Right-Click in the area to the right and select Create Route Group and label it Emergency Calls.

Once it is created then follow the next step but the pattern should be whatever is used for your Emergency Calls, 911 in the US.

System > Numbering Plan > Route Groups > Dial Patterns: 911? I know yours isn't 911, but I can't remember what it is right now.

Then go to the Facility Groups and put in the Facility Group for Local Calls.

System > Numbering Plan > Route Groups > Facility Groups: Add the existing Facility Group P1500 [Local]

Once those two are created then you will need to single left-click and hold to drag the two new Route Groups to the top of the list; make sure that the Emergency Route Group is at the top. The reason for this is that Emergency Calls will always use Route 1 and we want to make sure that it goes out as quickly as possible. For a better description on how it really works do a search for 911 or Emergency Calls on this forum as I wrote on it a few times.

Hopefully that works for you and everything goes alright. The way this works is that the system will look using ARS and it does that by going to the Route Groups first. It will pass up Route Group 1 unless it is an Emergency Number it will then go to Route Group 2 that is for Directory Assistance and match any call that starts with 118XXX or whatever you decided on that. It sees that the Facility Group is the new one you created and it goes there and looks at the Dial Rules to see that it is not suppose to Echo anything and then dial 118365. With the number it suppose to dial set it will then look at the Trunk Group it is suppose to use to make that call with and then the call will go out.

nrgymover,

1 week is normally not a problem unless your site gets a lot of calls; like a call center.

Look at the picture I have attached and maybe that will make more sense. The reporting tab is to the far right when you are connected to the system. If you don't have that tab then you will need to upgrade your System and System Administration and Diagnostics in order to get it. I believe this functionality started at about version 5.0 and had added features since then.

Gorz12,

I am not sure what it is that you are trying to accomplish here. Are you saying that you purchased a Mitel 5000 system and then plan on reselling said system to someone else? Is the company you work for a parts reseller?

Thanks,

TE

nrgymover,

There is a reporting system in certain versions of the System Administration and Diagnostics area, but it most likely will not go back that far.

imvpro,

Alright, well it looks as though you may need to go a little further than since all of your sites use the same username and password and you are sure that the site you are looking has the correct credentials then you will need to look at the GMail side of things since they are the ones blocking your site.

By the way when working with Google Apps here is a good site for their SMTP Errors: https://support.google.com/a/answer/3726730?hl=en

Since your error is 530 5.5.1 then here is where you should go to look at trying to fix the issue: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/14257

More than likely since it sees mail coming from three different sites that you will need to create an APP Specific password. As I have never used TLS with GMail I have never run into this issue so there isn't much more that I can do to help with this issue, but I am pretty confident that the solution is on the second link.

Thanks,

TE

Imvpro,

That is not the normal smtp server to use with gmail on port 25. If you are using something other than port 25 then you may be correct.

If you are using port 25 then try aspmx.l.google.com as the server and see if your problem goes away.

Thanks,

Steven
