MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Gmail Less Secure Apps
« on: April 06, 2020, 08:30:27 AM »
Has anyone determined if UM will continue to work after google disallows Less Secure Apps? What I've gotten from Google so far is 'Maybe'. We've got tons of clients using either G Suite or just a gmail account for their Forward and Copy, and don't want it all to hit the fan at once. I've learned Google is delaying the new security due to the Covid-19 outbreak, but I'd still like to know what's in store.

If I had to guess, I would say your Call Routing table has an entry that is + and is labeled Catch All. This routes any unrecognized DID digits coming in. Make sure this is the last entry in the table.

berkley,
Are these systems on a vpn, using internal addresses or using public addresses across the Internet? The ports you've opened are primarily for off-site IP phones.
I don't believe we've ever had to open/forward ports unless the customer had completely locked down their VPN. The problem we've usually had, if all ip addressses are correct, is the numbering of the IP Connections. In node 1, we usually number them 6000 (and if there is a PEC, 6010). Then in Node 2 we number them 6001 (6011 for PEC).
Then check your Node Connections in Node Connection Groups that each node is represented by the correct Node Connection Extension.
Hope this helps.

Simply open any extension under Endpoints, right below Calling Party Number, you'll see the field for Speakerphone Type.
"Local" only applies if you have 2 or more systems networked.
You can then copy & paste that to all the other extensions

FirstSource, Do you want to disable the ability of any user to use their speakerphone, or simply stop IC calls from going directly to Speaker?
To simply stop IC calls from announcing, turn off the Station (Endpoint?) flag 'Handsfree'. to disable the speakerphone entirely, i believe there is a field in each extension for speakerphone type. The choices are Standard, Enhanced or Disabled.

Update, FYI. Under Operations/Default Database, an option comes up to default both the Database and the Backup Database

TE,
I'm not sure if i ever did it from the panel, but i have definitely done it under Operations. The system is new, an Axxess upgrade from about a month ago. The main problem is that every night they lose audio to the BVM. I'm working with tech support, David gave me procedure to follow. One step is to default the database and the Backup. I'm just blanking on how to default the backup.

Thanks

Hello All,
I need to default my database, and want to default the Backup Database as well. I know I've done it before but I can't remember how I did it. Any help would be appreciated!

Has anyone had a restore not get past this point? Waited 45 minutes, and it got no farther.

We've often run into that CPU 100% issue, and it is usually an attack through the SSH port 22. As long as you are not using a PS-1 Server, you can disable that port in IP Settings. The attacks slow down all functions, often not letting you into programming even. Shutting down that port always solves the issue.
