Tom, how did you determine that calling DN 100 caused it?

Mitel Software Applications / MBG - Emergency Call
« on: April 02, 2019, 02:13:27 PM »
I am looking for information on a log entry.  It is from a SIP phone on the MBG.  The event type is "emergency call".  I reviewed the SMDR call records on the 3300 and did not see any 911 call go out from that extension.

Thank you,

Mark

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Hot Desk Users - two locations
« on: March 19, 2019, 09:57:29 AM »
I have a hot desk user that travels to our NY location from IA.  Is it possible that when they log into the NY location to route all their outbound calls out the NY trunks rather than the IA trunks?

I have partial PRI's here.  I do not have all the trunks in the trunk groups.  I only have 12 in my trunk groups.
OK, I misunderstood... Did you do an RTS command on them?

RTS 4 1 2 1 9
RTS 4 1 2 1 10
RTS 4 1 2 1 11
RTS 4 1 2 1 12

I never had to use the RTS.  When I changed from a full PRI to a partial, I just went into the appropriate trunk groups and removed the unused trunks.  When I do a STATE TRUNK GROUP ## it only shows my 12 trunks.

Mitel Software Applications / UC Advanced Mobile for Smart Device

I have a question in regards to this software.  Is this software for just controlling calls from your mobile device?  Are you able to make and take calls from the software?

I did the set replacement code to replace a 5330 with a 5330e and it worked.  The code is set in the System Options under System Properties.

Scott,

I have been caught a couple of times forgetting to change the phone type from 5330 to 5330e.

We have three buildings here with one controller.  We have a fiber link between the buildings and the IP phones work fine.

Thank you everybody for the information.  Does anyone know if the CIM would work with a Fiber Transceiver?

I have one 3300 that will need additional RAM.  I have two CIM ports that are free.  I do not see the ASU in the list for unsupported devices, so if they are not, then I can use them.

Will the Dual T1/E1 be affected?  I thought it was the FIM ports?  We have looked at SIP trunks.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel 3300 ver 9 - NSU/Analog/Nodes
« on: November 15, 2018, 03:55:49 PM »
Good afternoon,

We would like to upgrade to version 9 here with our 3300's and I was reading that the FIM's that connect our nodes will not work.  The only thing we have on two of these nodes are analog sets for fax machines.  I see there are some Mitel 51304961 TA7108 Terminal Adapters that will probably take care of this issue as we have only 32 analog lines.  Does anyone have a any feedback on these units?

The other FIM node is our NSU which handles a PRI in our backup location.  Is there anything we can do to replace this and keep our backup PRI?

Thank you,

Mark

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: How To Assign A DID
« on: October 19, 2018, 11:43:21 AM »
You would go to Call Routing -> Direct Inward Dialing Service to put in the DID and the Destination number.  This may vary depending on the version you have.  You can now set it in the User Services Configuration on the version I have here.
