Title: How to add lines to a MiVB Console
Post by: moona on January 30, 2017, 03:44:20 PM
Hi guys,

MiVB 7.2 SP1 PR1

I am wondering the best way to add extra lines to a MiVB Console so that incoming calls can queue against it? I would like to add a 2nd and possibly a 3rd line to it.

Currently if the console is on a call it plays a message saying that the extension is not available.

Does the caller hear it ring a few times before they get the message?
I'm wondering if it's forwarding on RNA.

Are you ringing calls to the console DN or an LDN? Callers should be routed to an LDN appearance, which will queue calls if properly configured. The consoles DN does not queue calls.

I am a little confused by this. I am sending my DID directly the the console DN. How do I setup an LDN? I presume you mean I setup a dummy DN and then the Console DN monitors against this as one of its Console softkeys?

Yeah, pretty much... LDNs are the console soft keys. I suggest reading the embedded help on programming a console.
