I thought I heard they postponed it due to it not being "ready for prime time yet".

I think the last I heard was Q1 2011. Maybe March or so. I could be making this up though.

At the moment we're using UCA 2.0.
Does somebody know if the new UCA 4.0 is supporting automatic logon (based on PC username) and LDAP Sync again?

I'm told that with UCA 3.0 every user needs to login manually once on every PC.

I didn't see anything mentioned in the Admin or Engineering guides for 4.0. Yep you are correct for 3.2 you don't get SSO.
I haven't upgraded yet, but this afternoon we will be giving it a shot going from 3.2 to 4.0.

Just wondering?

Where did you get UCA 4.0?
We have UCA 3.2.

UCA 4.0 was GA on Feb 2 (I think). If you are at 3.2 then you have a direct upgrade path to 4.0, very simple to do. See your VAR for this, if you are a VAR see the release notes.

Yep upgrade was very smooth, and no hassles at all. Just take a backup first (and a VM snap shot if your are running virtualised) just in case.
The upgrade is well worth it just for the client. It's now much more stable, smooth, polished, and even upgraded itself!
