Title: Remote Admin Access to Mitel TA7102
Post by: ralph on October 12, 2022, 10:32:46 AM
I've picked up a TA7102 to use as an interface for a fax machine in Las Vegas.
The problem I've come up against is that I can't access the admin interface unless I'm local on that network.
I need to install this on a network that's remote to me, so I need to ensure I have access.
When I look at the access control tab, the only options I see is Local or Radius.
Is there a way I can set it up to accept access from anywhere on our WAN?

In Management > Misc is your System Management Network Interface set to "All"?

Turns out, all I had to do is move my ethernet cable to the WAN port.
Then I was allowed to access remotely.

Now to get the dang thing actually working...

Be careful if you connected the LAN port to the live network, by default the Mitel TA will be a DHCP on it's LAN port. IT guy might not be happy with you.  ;D

Yeah, I saw DHCP was enabled by default. That surprised me.

When pulling a 3300 for hardware maintenance you can always count on me plugging back in to the WAN port instead of LAN port 1 when  re-racking it.
