They are complaining about calls getting offered to the same agent to often.

Make sure you don't have Last Group Member Routing configured for the ring group, that will send a repeat call within the specified time interval to the last group member they were connected to.

As mentioned, you can use the Lifecycle report to show who answered specific calls, but there's no way to tell who's next in line for a call to the group DN.

You may need updated firmware for the 6940w's, you'd have to check the MCS documentation on how to apply the firmware update.

3
The engineering guidelines for the MBG on edocs.mitel.com list all of the required ports, as well as recommendations for deploying in a DMZ environment.

As far as I know TFTP is the only transfer protocol supported. In order for malicious firmware to be injected, the TFTP server would have to allow PUT (upload) access, which I don't believe the MBG allows, it allows GET (download) transactions only. In addition, you could block UDP 69 at the firewall which would force using the backup port of UDP 20001.

5
Should be just like a regular 6940, meaning you need to use MCS (though I thought it was a Windows application, not Linux, but it's been a few years since I worked on one).

6
TFTP is it, the remote phone will download from the MBG it connects to.

Best you can do from the phone is forget the device which will un-pair it. But it will keep showing as available until you remove/turn off the device.

Is it showing up in Paired Devices or Available Devices? Paired would usually require some sort of interaction on the phone to accept the pairing request. If it shows up in Available Devices, the only way to get rid of it is to turn off pairing mode on the other device.

What voice mail are you using? Embedded, MiCollab/NuPoint, or something else?

Look in "VM Multi-Level Auto Attendants", your mailbox should be in there.

You'd have to set up the additional phone that you want to do this as an administrator phone, either through the System Admin tool or there's a way to do it from an existing administrator phone. That procedure is listed on page 18 of the MiVoice Office Administrator Phone Guide on edocs.mitel.com.

SMTP-AUTH to MS365 will stop working in Sept. 2025. Time to upgrade/replace those legacy systems that don't support OAuth connections.

I wonder if there's a way to pipe it directly to a file on the MiVB?

So there is. HO2683, and it's a slightly different method of creating the mailbox data report that I referenced in my method. You still have to generate a text file and search for the match within it.

Easiest way I know is to capture a mailbox report and then search in the resulting text file.

What I mean by that is SSH into the NuPoint text console, select Reports. Run a Mailbox Data report to the console (screen), capture that output, then search for your DN's in the output.
