Title: Internal call gets busy first
Post by: magnus on March 21, 2017, 12:46:34 PM
I have a client with a 6.1.4.64 version of the Office 250

When the Person A is on the phone with external call and Person B tries to call them on an internal call Person B gets a busy notification and busy tone for about 4 seconds before the call goes through.

How do I either make this go much faster or stop the busy signal entirely?

The busy tone is because the phone is busy...what do you want to have happen?  But if you want to shorten the time before caller camps on thats's SYSTEM/TIMERS AND LIMITS/CAMP ON

Ideally I would like there to not be a notification that the phone is busy.

Magnus,

If you are worried about the alert "busy" tone you can reduce the Camp-On timer to 0 and it won't do that any more for Calls camping on to another phone.

System > Timers and Limits > Camp-On

Camp-On: Length of time a caller hears busy tone before camping on.

Thanks,

TE

I used the on-line monitor to set this to 0. Will this cause any issues since the range is 1-255?

Magnus,

Well if you ask Mitel I am sure they would say yes, and they probably should, but I have done it before with no issues.

Thanks,
