So i have a customer that is on 4.2 sp1 with load 10.2.1.13
MXe controller with 512mb of ram.
 
was going to upgrade them to latest but i see the mitel 2000 cabinets are not recommended. my question is will the still work or should i go with 7.2 where they are still supported? this is a very large property where the cabinets are spread out and connected with fiber.  any suggestions?

Thanks for response. Not set up vlans. Just have cheapy Best Buy router on it. Did port forward to 2000 and 2002. Do I need other ports?

is there a way to do remote back up? i have my ftp server up and working. tested. went to form 47 put in the wan addy of the ftp server but cant seem to make work. its 200 ax latest's software.  any help is grateful..

I have a client that wants a softphone.. question is do i have to have a physical phone twined with the softphone or can it just be a softphone by it's self

 yes i belive the port forward is done. the phone connected to phone system and downloaded the files, but after the reboot instead of connecting and prompt me for pin, it sat at contacting server..

could be a bad phone? was brand new out box?

thank you for info. i followed the 2. one system is 5.1. still didnt come up i need get intouch with the it department for the location
and make sure they open ports up, and did the nat. thanks for your help. will let you know how turns out..

yes sir, nat addy was 255.255.xxx.xxx changed to same addy i use for tw phone..
