Hi All

The main number coming into our business is setup so that calls go to a cascading ring group. This sees calls ringing on each ring group member for 20 seconds before cascading to the next. Each ring group member is displayed on a function key on the 5320 IP handset at the main desk.

The only problem is that our receptionist who uses the UCA console to oversee the business, loses the call from the "active calls" display box when the call cascades to the second member?

there must be an explanation? How can I make the call remain in the active calls window while the call is cascading within the ring group?

All ring group members are ticked under UCA "configuration > call notification" although this is probably irrelevant....?

many thanks,
Dion

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Night Mode delay before voicemail
« on: April 02, 2012, 03:40:04 AM »
Hi All,

We currently dont make use of day/night mode but I wish to implement it for a few reasons, but my experience is limited.... Using a Mitel 3300.

I want to know firstly how do I interrogate the system to find out what mode it is in currently? how can you tell??
I assume its a feature key I need to add to an extension because I can't find it in the system director...?

In the call rerouting table, I note that there are only one set of options for first and second alternatives... Which is great for Day mode as we want unanswered calls diverting to secreteries then to the receptionist**. However once I implement Night mode, I want the phone to ring at the normal extension then go straight to voicemail.. ie. Have a different first alternative in night mode as opposed to day monde....
I know I can make it go straight to voicemail by adding an 'always alternative' route against the night1/2 modes but this wont allow the extension to ring first (in case people are working late and they need a chance to pick it up). how can this be achieved?

also are there any other considerations I should make before trying to implement day/night switching? any 'gotchyas'?

**another slightly unrelated question but if the call makes it to second alternative (receptionist) can that person put the call back through directly to the original called extension's VM? will the orignal extension be remember so a simple transfer to the general voicemail number will actually find the right voicemail?

many thanks

Hi All,

Using the Mitel Unified communicator advanced (UCA) 3.2.14.0 connecting to a Mitel 3300 IP system.

Users can add/delete/edit their own 'dynamic status' options, which is all well and good. But I want to be able to predefine a set of dynamic status options and then roll these out to all users... However I cant for the life of me find where these dynamic status profile options actually get saved to?

Ive searched the registry, roaming profile etc but havent come across them as yet... I'm beginning to think I might have to setup the options on ever single staff members' UCA individually  :-[ clearly I'm trying to avoid this and manage it centrally.

soooooooo has anyone got any ideas? please let me know and we can be BFFs :P
