Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Embedded voicemail answer point
« on: February 17, 2015, 06:38:34 PM »
Hello,

We're running a MCD 3300 Controller - Release Level 6.0SP3.  I have a basic question regarding trunks and the embedded voicemail.

How is the dial in answer point defined?  I would like to do some testing by assigning DID 3000 as the 'main line' for the embedded voicemail.  How is this done?

I have defined my voicemail ports:  Voicemail -> System Settings -> VM Ports -> 2001 thru 2030.

Hunt group has been built:  Users and Devices -> Group Programming -> Hunt groups -> 7000, Circular, priority 64, Voicemail hunt group type, members 2001 thru 2030

I have a test voicemail box in place:  Voicemail -> VM Mailboxes -> mailbox number 0 (operator), mailbox number 1 (test mailbox), mailbox number 9999 (administrator mailbox)

Call rerouting (always, first, second) assignments have been applied to the test mailbox -> routed to hunt group number.

I feel that I have most of the components in place, with the exception of how to set an answer point to direct callers to the VM system greeting and voicemail options (0, 1).

I'm pretty sure I need to define a trunk to associate an answer point for the embedded voicemail.  Just can't wrap my head around it.

Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Greater Mitel Intellect,

We are using the embedded voicemail on our MCD 5.0 controller.

Licenses -> License and Option Selection -> Licensed Options -> Messaging -> Embedded Voice Mail licenses = 9 locally allocated.

Voicemail -> VM Mailboxes -> Mailbox numbers = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9999.

When I try to add mailbox number 8, I get the message = "You cannot modify the Language Mailbox."

I did not change the 'Prompt Language' from w/n the mailbox.

Not sure why I'm getting this message.  The other mailboxes were programmed w/ no problems.

Pls. advise.

Thanks.

Hello,

We have a Mitel 3300 4.2 SP2 PR1.

I'm having problems sending specified DIDs over different trunks.  Not sure if this is even possible.  My setup so far looks like:

I have an analog CO line and have punched it down to a ls/gs plid.

Trunks -> Analog -> Analog trunks -> assigned the plid a trunk number (7000)

Trunks -> Analog -> Trunk Groups -> defined a trunk group number (5) and added trunk group member 7000

Call routing -> ARS -> ARS Routes -> defined route 12 as TDM Trunk Group, Trunk Group Number 5

Beyond that, I'm not sure how to route a local DID over this trunk group - outbound.

Call routing -> ARS -> ARS Digits Dialed -> let's me define routes for DIDs that are not local.  But in my case, the DID is programmed as a DNI set on the controller I'm trying to dial out from.

Thanks for taking a look.

Hello,

Is there anyway to have the main system day greeting replay on the Mitel embedded voicemail system?

Thanks so much.

Hello,

I was trying to setup the embedded voicemail on our 3300 MCD 4.2 controller.  I was following the procedure outlined in the 'help' link.

The procedure from the 'help' link says to setup the COS, then define the VM Ports and then build and add the ports to a hunt group.

Following this procedure, I get the following error when adding VM ports to hunt group:  Member has one of his COS set as voice mail port.

This has to do w/ the COV/ONS/E&M Voice Mail Port option when defining the COS.

To get around the error, I had to define the VM Ports, build and add the ports to a hunt group - and then define the COS and options.

Not sure if the procedure has missteps.  But mainly just wanted to share my troubleshooting experience, in hopes of helping someone else.

Hello,

We have a Mitel 3300 running release level 4.2 PR2 SP1.

My programmed reboot schedule looks like:

PROGRAMMED REBOOT SCHEDULE IS ON
PROGRAMMED REBOOT SCHEDULED: DAILY 02:15:00
PROGRAMMED REBOOT RESOURCE RECOVERY IS ON
PROGRAMMED REBOOT RESOURCE: RECOVERY 02:15:00
PROGRAMMED REBOOT COURTESY IS OFF

Checking the logs on the controller shows no reboot occurring at this time.

I turned on the programmed reboot schedule yesterday - do i have to wait 24 hours for the system to recognize this time as a valid interval.

In the mitel documentation it shows:  Programmed Reboot Resource Recovery ON/OFF - Turns the programmed reboot on and off. If enabled, a software-controlled reboot will occur at the next occurrence of the specified time ONLY if the available memory threshold has been reached or if a non-critical resource failure occurs.

I don't think I'm reaching either of these conditions during the reboot time.  Should I turn resource recovery off?

Thanks.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / PLID 9 1 12 23?
« on: December 04, 2012, 12:29:04 PM »
Dear Greater Mitel Intellect,

Attached is a screen pic of a main/soft log entry from our mitel 3300 MCD 4.2 controller.

PLID 9 1 12 refers to a dni card that is not installed.  We use this cab/shelf/slot to facilitate 'phantom' voicemail boxes for our AVST CallXpress 8.10 voicemail server.

The log entry refers to plid 9 1 12 23.  I'm not sure where circuit number 23 is located, as DNI cards line have 16 ports.  The PLID 9 1 12 location refers to a SS4025 DUALPKM device w/ extensions assigned to all 110 softkeys/button instances.

Any ideas?

Thank you :)

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Open source SMDR reporting software

Dear greater mitel intellect,

Does anyone have any experiences w/ this:  http://simplesmdr.sourceforge.net/

I loaded the VMware appliance - but immediately got config errors.  No serial port detected, some .iso not detected.  Seems easy enough to fix, but I didn't want to continue as I do not know how reputable this tool is.

Thanks.

Dear Greater Mitel Intellect,

Could someone point me in the right direction, regarding getting calling digits to be displayed on a superconsole 1000 DNI attendant phone?

COS for a ss420 is setup exactly as my sc1000.

Digits are displayed for incoming calls on the ss420.  sc1000 shows local DN while ringing, but will then show incoming call digits once the phone is answered.

Thanks so much.

Dear greater mitel intellect,

We have a mitel 3300 MCD controller.  ver. 4.2 sp2 pr1.

One of our DNI phones has been losing it's call forwarding programming.  Call forwarding is accomplished on the set by entering in a feature access code + system speed call number, which points to a cell phone.  After call forwarding has been enabled, a softkey is activated - indicating that the programming has been accepted on the device.

Are there logs in the 3300 that'll show my feature access code or softkey activation/deactivation behavior?

Thanks for taking a look see :)

Hello,

We have a Mitel 3300 ICP MCD 4.0 controller.  AVST CallXpress 7.91 voicemail platform.

DID A received an outside call.  DID A attempted to transfer the call to DID B.  DID B did not pick, the call ended up ringing back DID A.

SMDR shows FT101 DID B in the trunk/transfer call action field.

Call rerouting is the same for both DIDs (call re 1st alt. - voicemail).

I can't really see why this happened.  I tested it this morning from my cell phone, and the call transfer completed successfully.

Any ideas?

Thank you for taking a look see.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MWI Reroute Hunt Group
« on: October 20, 2010, 02:08:55 PM »
Hello,

We're trying to implement IP integration on our CallXpress 8.1/mitel 3300 ICP systems.

The procedure I followed was from the AVST Integration Note, 'Mitel 3300 ICP (MiTAI) TCP/IP'.  My apologies - as hard as I tried I could not find the link to the white paper.

We're having problems w/ the MWI reroute hunt group.  Upon pressing the MWI to retrieve a message, we get the following:  I'm sorry, extension <MWI reroute hunt group number> does not answer.

I have a feeling it has to do w/ how the call rerouting is programmed.  But it may be a hunt group member issue in the respective hunt group.

Thank you.

Dear Greater Mitel Intellect,

We have a Mitel 3300 MCD 4.10 SP1 release controller.

I'm having the hardest time exporting any form via IE 8.0.6001.18702, Windows XP SP3.

After logging into the controller, selecting the form and hitting the 'Export...' button, I get the following behavior:

"Export - Webpage Dialog" window appears.  Export Range - All.  File Type - Comma Delimited (Spreadsheet).

So I press the 'Export' button.  I received a message warning me of a lengthy delay while the data is being retrieved and formatted.  I hit 'OK' to continue.

IE8 gives me a warning - To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer.  Click here for options...

So I click the message bar for options and select 'Download File...'

A windows appears entitled 'Windows Internet Explorer'.  The warning is saying, are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?  etc., etc.

I press okay, and I lose my controller session.  No file is downloaded.

I set the IE8 download options to all enable.
I added the IP of the controller to trusted sites in IE8.

Any other ideas?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Block incoming numbers
« on: April 15, 2010, 04:52:31 PM »
Hello,

Is there a way to program the Mitel 3300ICP to block certain in bound numbers?  Or is that more of an ACD type of thing?

Dear Greater Mitel Intellect,

I know how to gracefully shutdown the Mitel 3300ICP.  But I recall something about the verifying something about the DBMS.  Otherwise on reboot, the database would be gone.

Also, is there a way to gracefully shut down the NSU?
