In the User and Services Configuration window search for the phone. On the Summary screen click on the extension number. Go to the Keys tab. Click on Line 1 and in the Label box type your text and then click Save Changes. The text field will only display 16 characters.

Ralph is correct. An ACD agent must be a single line extension. We put a "dummy" number on key 2 for the agent to use while on an ACD call. Usually the extension number with a * or #, i.e. 1#34 or 1*34 for extension 1234.

If you are able to boot from the inactive load the programming will be what was on that load when it was upgraded. It won't be current.

For the delay in ringing - in the COS you assigned in Trunk Attributes go to ANI/DNIS Number Delivery Trunk and click No.

For the dialing error assign a Tone Plan to the route for analog trunks. In the Tone Plan set Maximum Wait for a Tone to 10 and Action on Time out to Outpulse Default. Then in Tones to Detect ad an entry with Tone to Detect set to NA Precise Dial Tone (assuming you are located in NA) and Action To Take set to Outpulse Default

Best way is to follow the built in Help files. Go to Trunks>Analog>Analog Trunks and click on Help in the upper tight corner of the ESM. When the Help file opens click on the "Program Analog Trunks" link at toe top of the page It will walk you through the steps. If you have done PRI and SIP trunks then Analog should be a snap.

Note on MWI best practice. In the COS for all devices except voicemail MWI ports set Message Waiting to Off. It defaults to On and is a hold over from the old SX2000 days. Trust me - this will stop a lot of your "My light blinks but I have no message" calls. The cause of these false MW indications is someone accidentally dialing the code to turn on a MWI from a non-voicemail MWI port. The old use of this MW option was for companies that had actual "Message Centers" with operators before voicemail was widely used. (Tells how long I have been working on these systems).
