Title: 1st Call is dropped after establishing 2nd call
Post by: ivanchui on June 08, 2011, 12:11:31 AM
Hi All,

I have encountered a problem.
My SIP phone was registered to Mitel 3300 server.

During talking with the 1st far-end, I pressed FLASH key with my phone (i.e. an INVITE (sendonly) msg is sent) and dialed the 2nd call. However, I found that after my phone sending out the INVITE msg for the 2nd call, I received a strange BYE msg from Mitel 3300 (not the 1st far-end) to kill my 1st call. As a consequence, my 1st call is dropped, so that I never do Conference or resuming the 1st call.

Any there any suggestion for me? Does my phone need to do sth special?

THANKS!!!

Had this problem when using SIP converters the 2 devices connected to the converters cannot transfer calls.

I got a couple of Wifi SIP phones here these cannot do conferencing either using the FAC. Although havent looked at this in a while

Just looked at the SIP interop on edocs. Looks like lots of issues with call forwarding / conferencing etc with numerous endpoint.

What endpoints are you using?

I  m using XLite v4.0 ! Actually, I have also tried to do with other SIP phone, Yealink, but no luck.....

Since someone told me that he does not have this problem with the same server Model, Mitel 3300, I suspect there should have some special settings in server may affect like this.

The actual version on the 3300 is very important. There have been substantial changes on SIP grounds since MCD and going came out. You could try to check the "Generic SIP options". The SDP options are quite important, and don't forget to change this phone to multicall.
