Nope sorry, you get the flashing VM envelope and top light on the phone for any personal mailbox attached.

Any shared mailboxes or secondary VM's you have to program as message waiting indicators using the line keys on the phone.

Just a quick update, tested my theory above and it doesnt work unfortunately. Only way I have managed to get them both working is calls coming into the deskphone as a primary answer point then a first alternative set to the console/group of consoles.

Thanks

Can you disable the screensaver on the 69xx phones? When the screensaver is active, users arent able to see the pickup key flashing so would like it disabled. I cant seem to see an option for this and it only allows timer configuration for 1 to 240 seconds.

This particular model of 6920 only has the digital flash on the screen rather than the key flashing for pickup. Not sure if this was changed in a later revision.

So if you look in call rerouting, then search their directory number, it will show you the day, night 1, night 2, 1st and 2nd alternative configuration for that directory number. If you see what number is under the 1st alternative. Then go to the form you mention in your reply and search by that number, it will show you what that entry relates to and where it will be rerouting the call, this could be pointing to a speed call which then goes straight to the external number to the other system.

To view the CFNA timer for that extension, search their user on the system, open up the phone config and then go to "service details" you will see the class of service number assigned to the phone.

Once you have the COS number go to system properties > system feature settings > class of service options. When on here select the COS number from the phone and scroll down the options to the call forwarding section, you will then find the CFNA timer which you can change.

Might be a bit long winded, but something you could maybe try to test this out.. Ignore the numbers I include as its just an example:

Reception console has a softkey DN of 5010

Create a new ring group with a pilot number 5000
Add your deskphones to this ring group

Create a dummy trusted extension on the system, say extension 5001. Go to call rerouting and use the always alternative form, choose a free entry. Say always alternative 3, set this to always reroute to 5010. Then go to the call rerouting for extension 5001 and set the day, night 1 and night 2 routing to always alternative 3. This will mean that whenever 5001 is dialled it will go through to 5010.

Add extension 5001 to the ring group 5000 along with the deskphones.

Point your external number or whatever you need to that ring group, hopefully all required devices including the console will ring at once.

Just something to try  :)

If you have a forward active from the Mitel which is then going to Skype but hitting the Mitel's voicemail (assuming 1st alternative of the MD's extension) before the Skype phone or voicemail answers, I would assume that the call forward no answer timer on the users Mitel extension class of service is set to a shorter time than it takes for the Skype call flow to complete and hit its own voicemail, hence the call coming back to the Mitel users voicemail.

If you want the forwarded call to not hit the Mitel voicemail at all, I would initially remove any 1st alternative configuration that user has or make sure that the CFNA timer is set to longer than the Skype call flow.

Thanks, i'll let you know if we decide to go down one of these routes and how it turns out!

Thanks Ralph, i'll definitely have a look into that, that sounds more preferable to what I was thinking..

The only other way I thought I might be able to achieve this would be to create a separate SIP peer profile for each customer name, all using the same outbount trunk. On the SIP peer profile you can control the default outbound CPN which could be the number of the company your representing. Then creating an ARS route using the specific peer profile for that customer and leading digit plan for each. This way seems like it could get a bit messy though with all the digits dialled and ARS route entries required.

I think I know what you're getting at, using single lines on the phones which then have an associated CPN for outbound calling.

Unfortunately in this case were talking about a client which represents about 50-60 different companies when making outbound calls so keys wouldn't be an option.

Thanks

Understood, thanks for your reply Ralph. Bit disappointing as it would be a nice feature!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Forced Verified Account Codes - Query
« on: January 27, 2020, 11:45:47 AM »
Hi all,

Quick query regarding the use of account codes. Does anyone know if there is a way you can control the outgoing CPN by the specific account code you are using to dial out?

Thanks

Yes, tried both the FQDN and the IP address, no change.

Required ports are available externally, ran test with the teleworker analyzer.

Hi Magpye

Im using the embedded MBG in the MiCollab virtual appliance, so there are no remote proxy services or additional hostnames to configure.

Thanks

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab Server - Deployment Config Issue
« on: January 21, 2020, 11:18:44 AM »
Hi all,

Had quite a bit of experience installing MiCollab in various environments along with MiVoice Business but came across an issue today which is numbing my brain..

I am at the stage where the networking has been configured along with all of the MiCollab integration, sharing between MSL and MiVB, licensing is done etc. The MiCollab server has also had a valid SSL cert installed for the new MiCollab client to be deployed.

Using a MiCollab VA and making use of the embedded Mitel Border Gateway. This is currently setup with a custom network profile with a LAN address which matches the ICP side streaming, and the Set side streaming is the public IP used on the edge router. The public IP for the system is configured via a 1:1 NAT rule on the router.

At the moment the server is accessible externally, the external DNS resolves to the correct IP, all connectivity diagnostic tests pass on the MBG and I have also tested outbound connectivity via the root of the MSL and logging in to the MSL sever manager using the internet connection test.

However MiCollab Client Deployment tests keep failing, it passes the "Connection test from the MiCollab Client Deployment to the Redirect Server" but then fails with the following tests:

MiCollab Client Deployment test from public internet
ERROR: ETIMEDOUT (400 Bad Request) from host x.x.x.x

Connection test from public internet to MiCollab Client Service
Error: connect ETIMEDOUT

This would suggest to me like there are packets being dropped or some form of networking issue before its hitting the MiCollab server, however other tests would prove otherwise. All restrictions have been removed on the firewall it is behind to this server for the mean time and there has been no change.

I have tried messing with the deployment profile but havent been successful so far.

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas..

Cheers

Mitel Software Applications / Re: MiCollab client issues

With the users having issues picking up the calls sometimes, is the client in the foreground when they are doing this rather than running in the background? At certain times, when the call comes in and the client is running in the background, the user needs to click the Windows 10 tray bar notification (call incoming etc...) before being able to accept or decline the call in the client.

Can you elaborate mote on the losing connection? Any specific error messages? Is there a message when they are switching the softphone on or off? Worth noting that MiCollab for PC does come with minimum requirements and if they aren't met they can cause issues.
