Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel Programming Standards
« on: July 08, 2008, 04:51:04 PM »
When Mitel ships a 3300 to a VAR for installation it is a blank slate.  Unlike the 200ICP which is pretty much preprogrammed with feature codes and standard access codes, each vendor is free to program what ever they like for feature codes.
Certainly in our office we have standardized our ARS programming and feature codes that we use as a framework to roll out to each of our customers.
My question is this:  Would there be any value for me to set up a page(s) on one of my websites where we could post an agreed upon standards for feature codes and ARS programming?  Enough interest and I'll set it up.

Just wanted to see if anyone is playing with SIP on the Mitel.
Such as using a SIP client accross a VPN or SIP trunks to a carrier.

Something I'm trying to get my head around is how to set up SIP clients back to the 3300.
This I believe would require some type of Session Border Controller to work around firewall issue but it would seem to me if this could be done, you would have a Teleworker Solution / softphone solution w/o having to worry about a Teleworker server.

I have a thought in the back of my mind what could be done but at the moment it's too half baked to post.
Anyone working/playing with this?

If you happen to know any certified techs interested in moving to Michigan, PM me.

Just something interesting.
I just installed a Vosky system on our 3300 using analog LS trunks.
It is a PBX to Skype gateway that allows you to Make and Receive calls via Skype.
You can call Skype clients, Skype clients can call in.   If you pay Sky $30/ year you can program your pbx to route all US and Canada calls out the Skype trunks.   So for $30 per year per line you slice your call cost per minute to $0.00

I had a bit of an issue setting it up, but the Vosky folks were good to work with and once I got an engineer on line that could point out some very low level settings, things work good.

You can see their site at www.Vosky.com

I support a couple of hundred 3300's.   From our remote center I need to synchronize my dial up settings across several PC's.
Has anyone seen a tool that will allow you to copy network settings from one computer to any other computer?

I'm trying to set up remote access into a new NuPoint using dialup pptp.
Worked directly with Mitel tech support and they can dial in just fine.
But when I dial up and get the text window to enter "CLIENT" I get no response.

This is true with multiple computers and modems.
I've used USR 33.6 and internal AT&T modems.  No diff.

Anyone got any tricks?
