Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Hyperterminal

VHas anyone ever had a 3300 not respond to a PC when connected through hyperterminal? Apparently we have one that will not boot and cannot have the Vxworks boot sequence stopped.
I personally have not seen the controller and do not know the full story yet. I just have been told to go fix it tomorrow, yeah me. There could be absolutely nothing wrong other than technician error, I guess I will find out when I get there.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Intercept Handling

I have a cluster that has several remote 3300s connected via point to point T1s. I would like to send calls to a mailbox that informs them that they are being transfered to the call center when one of the connections goes down. I have the message and the transfer part working when it is dialed directly. My problem is when one of the sites cannot be reached from an outside caller I get the AT&T message not my message.

The DIDs that I am attempting to redirect are just entries in the OPS telephone directory. I used the same setup in my lab (sans PRI) and it worked. I assume that this is possible even though there is no location to enter the intercept number for these numbers since they are not devices on the local controller.

I have entered my phantom extension number in the fields for directory number out of service and trunk out of service.

I am using intercept number 1.

Is there a way to add RDNs to a ring group? I have a cluster that I would like to be able to have a few sets on different controllers handle calls but I do not want to use ACD. I can make the remote BLF work but I would like full rings instead of the short ring it gives. Any ideas?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 911 routing

Does anyone know how CLID shows up at a 911 center if you use CPN sub on a PRI?

Say I have a controller at a main office and a couple of satellite offices nearby with different addresses. I have CPN sub to show the DID associated with the physical location, will this be how it shows up to the 911 center or would the LIM and an analog trunk at the physical address be the best route?

Just an idea I have been throwing around in my head, not an actual setup yet.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / ACD path or no path?

I have a customer that wants a solution that I am not too sure how to solve so I have come here for advice.

The issue is that in Night1 some of the calls are routed to a single spectra link phone and sometimes the phone is busy, (go figure) but the owner does not want the calls to go to voicemail. The ideal solution would be some sort of ACD path, but there are concerns that the personnel would not remember to log in.

Any ideas on how to make a pseudo path? Or an alternative solution that may work?

Mitel Software Applications / OPS Man not connecting

I have OPS man running rel. 8.0.0.18 that will not complete MAC on one of the two controllers.

I get an error that says:
"Add for user test:Cumming:2655 could not be completed.
Reason: Could not connect to the requested network element"

The OPS Man can connect to this 3300 to do a sync, backup, or when I access it via Enterprise (by double clicking on the network map). It will connect just fine to the other 3300 that is in the Cluster.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I also get the following logs on the server:
"Error starting a DBA session to Cumming (26504)"

"MAC Audit: ADD transaction for test, 2655, PLID not set (5330 IP) on Cumming (Secondary:none yet)[Failed]-<Details Could not connect to the requested network element:(rc=50000)>"

Mitel Software Applications / Nupoint Dial by name

ok, I have a rather interesting request from my boss for a possible config and I don't think it is possible, but I hope someone can prove me wrong.

Scenario:
40 3300s clustered that currently use the embedded VM and we want to put them all on a centralized Nupoint. Problem is that this is a school system that the parents are acustom to using dial by name and we do not want the headache of parents accidentally transfering themselves all over the county.

So my question is does anyone know of a way to group the names by controller in the Nupoint's dial by name directory?

I downloaded it today and just want to know if the SI is faster than the first rel of 9.0 (over 3 hours is insane).

If anyone out there is running rel 11.0+ and would like for the site admin to have a log in to the web client w/ restricted access you may have found out it doesn't exist. There is an open DCR on this and if enough people complain they may actually do something about it (DCR 218816).
Just thought I would throw that one out there in case someone wants to be added to the list.

Has anyone tried out the T.38 faxing yet? I am having a hard time getting it to work properly (so is tech support though). Just wanted to see if anyone out there has taken this on yet.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Echo on 5340

I have a site with roughly 150 5340s and they are reporting intermittent echo. I do not believe that it is the network as we have a dedicated network set up strictly for their phones.
The only thing that I can find on Mitel's site refers to LS trunks (I have PRIs). Has anyone else experienced this, if so what is the fix/cause?
