So I have a customer with MCD 5.1 system that has a zone paging unit connected to an ASUII trunk port, they dial 8+<Zone #>, works fine most of the time but occasionally gets locked-up in the system and they have to reset the paging controller or pull the bridging clips on the trunk to get it to release, so I changed COS on the trunk to force release the trunk at 2(3) minutes but it isn't working. Any thoughts?

If you do a reso on the plid when it's locked up does it show anything?
Is it possible that an analog set is using the page and then hitting the switch hook to hang up? I've seen that several times.

A STAT just shows it's busy, a force busy and RTS fixes it. But either way, if the above options are set in the COS of the trunk, shouldn't it clear automatically after 3 minutes? (2+1)

I've had issues with it before and never really nailed it.
My problem is I'll leave a modem connected to some device on the other side of the country and forget to disconnect it.

Maybe something like this inbetween http://www.vikingelectronics.com/products/pdf/cpc-1.pdf (http://www.vikingelectronics.com/products/pdf/cpc-1.pdf)

Just an idle thought but could it be the disconnect clear timer? Right on the cusp of being correct but just needing a tweak in the right direction

Hmmm... got another call on this again this morning, this time before they just reset everything and when I got to look at it and turn on SMDR I saw two unusual things. A STATE of the PLID just says RELEASING, and when I monitored SMDR and did a BUSY and RTS nothing came up, but the last call on that "trunk" was almost 45 minutes earlier and lasted 7 seconds, about the same time as when they said the paging went out.

I've seen something similar. Reversing the tip and ring resolved. However that happened evey call so it may not be the same.

Worth a shot and easy to check/test... will stop by and give it go today or tomorrow.
