Title: Destination not responding
Post by: cholzhauer on September 28, 2015, 11:21:08 AM
What are some causes of "Destination not responding"?

I've seen this happen with external phones, but recently we've been seeing it pretty often with internal calls.

With Internal, what type of phone are you trying to call and is it on the same node or off node.

I have never seen "Destination not responding" on an on node to on node call, only external... are you sure the system doesn't think this extension is on a remote node, possibly the same extension programmed somewhere else or not removed?

Destination not responding is a inter-node networking error, if I recall correctly, that is the only way to get it.

Yep, I'm sure.  I've verified the two phones on the call and both are on the same node.  I upgraded to 6.0 SP3 over the weekend and haven't seen the error since; keeping my fingers crossed

I would still perform a full export/import to all nodes and verify that the extension number does not exist somewhere else.
