Title: Music on hold Issue
Post by: NMYSBH on July 20, 2018, 10:08:39 AM
First post so apologies in advanced if this has been raised before. Call hits an AA Main 601 - Option 3 hits Group 641 ( Extension 440 ) when you put a call on hold you hear the MOH File 1 for 2 seconds then ringing. How do you get the MOH file to play and lose the ringing. Thanks

NMYSBH,

It really depends on the call flow and how your CO Trunk Group is setup. If the CO Trunk Group that the call came in on has Audio on Transfer to Ring set to Ring then that is what you get. If the CO Trunk Groups Music On-Hold is set to Use Next Device's Audio then you will need to look at what that devices audio for call ringing this device is set to; typically ring.

Thanks,

TE

Totally off topic, what was NMYSBH the password for again? I seem to remember a big cabinet with plug in cards, various LEDs with a screw on opaque plastic cover.

NMYSBH Was the username for Index Avaya PABX. This was a great system and was a dream to programme and work on.

Quick update . The issue was with the Sip Peer Trunck configuration. Amended the transfer option on hold to be MOH File . This worked.
Thanks for the help . Cheers
