Title: ring multiple outside numbers
Post by: magnus on November 29, 2017, 11:15:01 AM
I have a customer that wants something I can't figure out a nice way for.

They want to set up an option for customer to dial 5 for emergencies. This should call on onduty cell phone, if that is not answered then call another cell phone, if still not answered then leave a message on the voicemail box and send a vm to email to someone.

I have been able to setup DEE to do this but it will only call the mobile numbers if I assign it to a logged in hot desk user or a desk phone.

It seems a bit wasteful to buy another phone just for emergencies.

Any ideas?

magnus,

You should be able to do this with DEE setup as a Phantom Extension not a Hot Desk User. Make the Mobile the first step then create a second step with a Home Phone using the second cell and then a third step to Voice Mail.

Thanks,

TE

I am using version 6.2.5.80

If I set up DEE for a phantom or a hot desk(that is not logged in) the system does not dial the mobile or home numbers.
Am I missing something?

Did you turn DDE on in the Web Portal for the Phantom User?

We do this all the time for clients who have on call techs that rotate.  Each week they update the DDE number for the PHDN to the on call tech.

magnus,

Did you make sure that the phantom or HD user had outgoing access and their Outgoing Extension was setup? Have you tried just forwarding the call to the Cell to see if that works?

Thanks,

TE

Thank you!

It was the outgoing extension. I just forgot this system didn't use the default setting.
