As you probably known MITEL have purchased OAISYS

Just fitted my first one to an AVAYA with Trunks side recording.

I had trouble with the Audio PRI card being set to T1 in default

Found how to change in the control panel not the OAISYS software

It needed some boxes ticking that you just would not guess. Well i wouldn't!

Hi i'm looking for this guide

"For Hyper-V, refer to the virtual machine settings as described in the in the the Virtual
Applicane Deployment Guide."

Yes i spotted the spelling mistake

I cut this directly from the
INSTALLATION AND ADMINISTRATION GUIDE
FOR INDUSTRY STANDARD SERVERS (ISS)
AND VIRTUAL MIVOICE BUSINESS
RELEASE 7.0 SP1

I can not find it on EDOCS or Knowledge base.

Anyone have it or know where i can get it from?

Also any guide on installing MCD on Windows hyper-v 20012 R2 would be much appreciated.

I can see from the guide i do have, it looks like you install the MSL and blade manually rather than an OVA (VMWARE)
and you need the virtual MCD license.

Mitel Software Applications / Creating a "support package" for Mitel Support

Guys,
Mitel support have been asking for a "support package" when logging faults.

I don't remember ever being shown how to do this on the training and a quick Google and scan through the manuals did not tell me how to do this.

When i figured it out, not difficult really, i thought i would share with the community.

Mitel Software Applications / How to best migrate to Active directory integrated mode on MAS?

Existing Site with MAS (nupoint,UCA,AWC,MBG)
UCA in co-located mode and linked to AD
Nupoint mailbox are not link to any users and services.

I know i would have to turn off the AD sync in UCA.

Has any one done this?

I have setup MAS AD sync before but i was able to delete the MAS users and re-create them.

Is there a merge option that i can not find?
Merge the users found in AD with the already existing users in MAS?

Customer wants to do this so UCA and MCA/AWC have same login as domain

Any help appreciated

Mitel Software Applications / Micolab Client minet softphone on a 5000 with MBG

Im am struggling to get this to work.

I have UCA minet softphone working on the system locally with no issue
I have 5312 teleworker with no issue
I have micolab client mobile on an iphone working without issue (no SIP just office link)

The client connects fine from home through the MBG but the minet softphone has a red x on it and cant be used.

I had missed the external IP in the pbx node but this has now been filled in.
I have programmed the "fake" MAC address of the sofphones in the MBG. Got these form the 5000 (had to unhide it)
UCA connector is enabled in MBG

All appears to be working except minet softphone.
It is with Mitel at the moment so will post back if they fix it.

any ideas?

Mitel Software Applications / MAS with Single point prov has no option for COR

I think i know the answer to this one but wanted to check with the community.
When using MAS to create users on the 3300 with Single point provisioning it has no option for setting COR! only COS

This cant be correct.  I am i missing something with default user or templates on the 3300?

I am also using templates on the MAS but again no option to specify COR.

This means that every user it created with the default COR of one which i am pretty sure everyone leaves as restricted or local calls only.

FYI the MAS is also integrated with AD.

I have been told that the latest version on MAS has the COR options.

Mitel Software Applications / UCA missing templates on install

Any one had this before.
None of the templates get installed, In a meeting, in the office, ETC

Have a funny feeling they can be copied form other users.....copy some files maybe.

any thoughts?

All working if you add them manually

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Fix 4 JAVA not allowing backups of 3300

Newer versions of JAVA wont allow you to take backups of older versions of 3300

Steps on how to config JAVA to allow this
