Do the phantoms and Hunt Groups have extension ids? What is the phantom suppose to be doing? ie forwarding the call or placing it in park.

There is a CRA app in the STAR that drops to the Hunt Group. Need to look at the STAR and the time you are trying to change the hunt group to see what CRA is programmed there. That CRA will have a timeout destination programmed to go to a hunt group. This is where you will want to change the Hunt Group.

If these are old Intertel digital phones(8520/8560's), they need to be punched on the white green/green on the CAT 5 panel, because the phones do not run on the middle pair.

If the software level of MiVoice 250 is 6.2, then greetings can be loaded onto the system in WAV format. Otherwise, the greeting need to be recorded through a handset.

It should be press Conference key (feature code 5) then press 8 for an outside line and dial the DID. Once the call connects it's Conference, Conference to join the calls. Unless there aren't any available trunks. I don't see how it doesn't at least call the intended DID. I'm assuming the intend number can be called when not trying to create a conference call.

From my understanding, Mitel is moving away from the contact center with 250/5000. Phone Manager is the replacement product they are going with for the 250/5000.

If the fax is house phoned, it will automatically grab a CO line when taken off hook.  This way the 8 does not have to be dialed.

We have been dealing with this issue on POTS lines and digital phones for awhile. Eventually, we got to Tier 3 support with Mitel and they acknowledge this has a known issue with digital phones and POTS lines. They informed us that they were working on a fix. Finally, they got back with us and told us to go to the FTP site and pull 6.2.5.90 from there to fix the problem. The digital phones have been performing a firmware upgrade with this version. Mitel says now that if we experience echo with the 6.2.5.90 to call technical services and they have lots of things they can do to fix this. I did have a new install complain about echo on 6.2.5.90, but I ran a hybrid loop start test and have not had complaints since.

It's happened more than once and I did select use restore settings. I believe it start happening around 6.2. We noticed it happening when we upgraded software and loaded the converted upgraded database to a new compact flash using a default cabinet. A message appear during the restore that says something about losing connection and the restore stops. We found changing the default IP address to the static of the current system prevented this connection loss.

I have had a weird situation where the default IP Address and the restore IP address do not match, which caused the restore to mess up. It basically wouldn't finish the restore and showed corruption when I logged into the system. I go into the defaulted system and set the static IP to the restore address and this has fixed the problem.

Are the calls hitting a Hunt Group first? If they are then the Hunt Group Recall needs to drop to a Mailbox.

If it hasn't been done already, I would delete the offending extension and rebuild it.

If it's an intercom call, the Fwd Call Type-IC Calls needs to be set to yes, on the system forwarding path. Devices>Phones>Ext>Fwd Path
