Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / MXE III hard drive failure (SATA)

Hi, ya'll. I have a tkt. open with Mitel, but would also like to get some field feedback (the best kind). So, I have a HD (HD#2) at a client that has a bad sector. I tried clearing the sockets, re-raiding. The Raid went through successful only to get the same error. I have changed the sub system card (raid controller) to no avail. I am changing the HD on Tuesday. Hopefully this will do it. Any feedback on anyone else running into this? Thanks in advance.

Hi, ya'll. We have a client that was performing intrusion detection on the network, to include the phone system. Luckily it was in the middle of the night. It eventually rebooted the system. Has anyone else seen this happen? I have a ticket open with Mitel, and Ralph said he has seen this in the past. Thanks for any replies.

Has anyone ran into this before on a 3300 MXe controller? Every minute an FTP Daemon error is being triggered. A reboot did not fix it. Thanks.

Hi. Is there a way in the system to tell the difference between an MXe and an MXe II? Cicking on "About" gives you MXe no matter what, unless it is an MXe III, which is different. Thanks.

We have a client with multiple sites. 3300. One centralized site feeding the others. Only 1 site is affected. And the issue is only since they moved their office several blocks. All of the equipment remained the same. Only 4 users in this office. What happens is basically every incoming call after answering the line still rings about 2 times, then latches. But that's not all. If you press the phone book as an example it doesn't populate in the display, only after about a 2 second delay. Same if you press the voicemail speed call, or any other key. Basically a delay accross the board. Systems are in Chi., users are on Long Island, NY. Once again, only after they moved to another office. Thanks and let me know if more info needed. Hopefully someone ran into a similar issue.

Just to add what was done so far........Mitel and the carrier had us do seperate wireshark captures. And a steady ping to the controller in Chi. never waivered, even while trouble was occuring. Thank you all.

Hi, ya'll. Just more of an oppinion and input question. Do you think it is ok to purphase a used unit (say, Sunrise Telecom) on Ebay as long as it has all adapters, power supplies, etc? And what should I look for to make sure it does PRI and T1, as well as being able to go on each channel with a handset? Thanks and happy new year.

Has anyone seen this?

Went to add a default user and get the message in the subject. When opening System Capacity it indicates using 75 out of 75 PKM Devices. There are no PKM's! It appears that every user added the software is adding a PKM to it even though you don't see any assigned when you look. Thanks ahead of time.............John. ???

And so a co-worker informed me it only pertains to extended key sites. We offer a trading phone called a 5560 turret which gives 12 pages, if the customer asks for it. This doubles the 6 pages (96 buttons) to 12 (192 buttons). What happens is apparently it adds a PKM in order to accomodate the extended keys. We have a ticket open with Mitel. Thanks.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Delay on barge in outbound ONLY

Hello. I have a strange (even weird) one. Client has an ARD (auto ringdown line) that only outbound takes about 5 seconds before any other user can barge (3 way conf.) onto the line. Dial tones work fine. The carrier changed to a different channel on the T1 and we changed on our side, too. Any ideas please let me know. Will open ticket with Mitel as well. Thanks.

Hello, fellow telecom people. We have a client that we are getting 6 LS handoffs from an Avaya system for all of the call flow. What is happening sporadically is the lines are getting held up in the 3300 (different ones all the time) and I have to perform busy (force), RTS of the affected ones to clear it. Any thoughts and/or help greatly appreciated. Thanks! :o
