Title: SIP Trunks
Post by: brogerson on May 08, 2014, 11:44:16 AM
I am running MCD 4.2 SP2 that has a ThinkTel SIP trunk using a MBG for a sip Proxy. The SIP Peer profile options are taken from the ThinkTel SIP COE document.

When dialing out we get dead air, packet captures show the PBX is not sending an INVITE to the MBG to start setting up a call.  CCS Trace shows the call is using my SIP trunk.

You have set the network element up for the proxy bit, yes? (on the Mitel)

And you have the proxy address set in the SIP Peer Profile? i.e. the MGB address.

Yes,    I can see INVITEs on inbound calls, but none on outbound calls

Are you able to post a copy of the SIP trace for us to have a look at?

10.63.7.50   PBX
192.75.184.80   External Address from MBG
206.80.250.100 ThinkTel

The other IP's are intruders trying to make a connection to the MBG

How does the pbx route to the MBG.....IP route?

How is the MBG setup? server only or server gateway?
